The TUNERIDERS - 60's/70's/80's classic rock, cover band.
• Tons of accurate, crisp three-part harmonies
• Rock, R&B, Pop, Blues
• A professional band that loves to perform and enjoys their audience
• High-quality covers that will send you charging for the dance floor
The TUNERIDERS perform a diverse variety of scintillating covers of the hits of the legendary vocal groups of the ’60s, '70s & '80s:
Tom Petty, Beatles, Eagles, Don Henley, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Badfinger, Mamas and the Papas, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Hall and Oates, The Who, Credence Clearwater Revival, Beach Boys, Elvis, Dave Clark 5, Rascals, Sam and Dave, etc.
The Tuneriders showed up ready to go! They set up quickly, were incredibly professional yet down-to-earth and easy to work with. The night ran smoothly with quieter tunes before dinner and louder groovy tunes to dance to after dinner which is exactly what we requested. Not only that, the quality of the Tuneriders' musicality, blending, harmonizing, and presence is on point! The people in the room who had any clue about music were impressed and so was I. They were fun without being showy which was perfect for the corporate party ambiance. It was great to work with Duane, Rick, Ken, and Alan and I look forward to the opportunity to hire them again!
"The TuneRiders Band has performed at Dallimonti's many times in the past and have wowed the crowd each time they play.
They are a very talented and professional group; they are ready to perform on time, they rarely take a break, there is never a problem with them playing too loud, and they can read each crowd as to what your patrons would like to hear.
You will find the band brings lots of their fans when they play; they have an enthusiastic following and will surely help ring your cash registers.
We have owned and operated our restaurant and bar for 33 years and have listened to many bands.
You will find that the TuneRiders are a fun band and would recommend booking them when you can
You won't be disappointed...
Regards,
Ron Dallimonti"
I booked these guys for my wedding which was very last minute. Thankfully, because it was January, low season, they were able to perform at my wedding. They were very easy to communicate with and warm and friendly. I didn't have much time to plan on which songs they would play so I let the band know and they were able to take the reigns on choosing their set. They were very self-managing and survived off little direction from me. My even helpers gave them some direction while at the wedding and they went with the flow.
There were no snags in set up or tear down. Great sounding music quality and vocal talent! Lots of hits that everyone recognized! The volume was loud enough to dance and sing to but quiet enough for easy communication for my guests. If we need them again, I won't hesitate to book!
Response from Tuneriders:
Thanks Karen. We thoroughly enjoyed your wedding. Have a wonderful life! – RICK ABBOTT
The Tuneriders are one of our favorite bands playing regularly at the First St. Cafe. The reason for this is simple. They do what they say they are going to do. They are on time for all gigs. They draw a great crowd at every performance. Their flexibility when something comes up and we need to reschedule. They are just a pleasure to work with. I'm looking forward to booking them for many more events in the future.

We are perfectionists in reproducing the vocal harmonies and instrumental background of the songs we cover.
We love to perform and share that enjoyment with our audience.
Our vocals are strong, in tune and brilliant. People are very impressed with our excellent, accurate vocal arrangements. We produce a polished, majestic vocal texture that is instantly appealing.
We do both trio gigs and also play with a drummer. So we can deliver exciting small venue performances or powerful/big sound sound rock textures appropriate for large venues. We are able to play at low, medium and high volumes as a band.
Nasty blues solos, delicate James Taylor finger-style guitar and driving Beatles/Eagles acoustic/electric guitar combos allow us to play a huge variety of styles.
We do everything from aggressive grunge vocals/screams, to beautiful ballad treatments like "Scarborough Fair" and "Because" (Dave Clark 5).
We are positive, people-oriented musicians who care about the individuals and the groups for whom we perform. We seek to "Build the Community" through our excellence in performance and in mixing with the audience in appropriate ways on breaks and after shows. We sincerely care about our clients. We flexible in where we set up, and are service oriented in using our talents to produce a great event.
Simply put, we are an exciting, pro-quality band that loves to perform and cares about people. We have a knack for creating exciting, fun, and uplifting events.
The History of the Tuneriders
1. 3 talented musicians came together to form a great band: The TUNERIDERS.
a. A mutual friend introduced Jack and Rick; the voices jelled, immediately. There was a crystalline resonance that was very exciting. Rick is a baritone; Jack is a tenor.
b. Rick got Duane's email from a class reunion mass email. Rick emailed, "Duane, let's jam sometime." Duane responded, "Ken Cooper and I are playing at the Texas Back 40 in Pleasant Hill." "I'll be there.", responded Rick. When I saw Duane for the first time in 25 years it felt like we were in 7th grade again; we hadn't missed a beat. I felt a deep sense of kinship toward Duane. As we're jamming on the first song Duane leaned over and said, "They have no idea how much fun we're having!" Bingo! Our friendship was reawakened. Soon after Duane joined the band. Jack, Duane and I have had tremendous fun rehearsing and performing during the past two years as the TUNERIDERS.
c. Jack brings 8 years of college level opera training; he is a tremendous lyric tenor voice. He is an accomplished finger-style guitarist who allows the band to perform Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor style songs. He is a solid rock and blues lead guitarist as well.
d. Rick is a strong lead vocalist. From ballads like Simon and Garfunkel's "America" to R&B and soul like the Rascals "Good Lovin'" Rick does velvet, and grunge quite well. He is also an accomplished rhythm guitarist blowing many intricate, pulsing rhythms through the mix of the band.
e. Duane is a professional bass player, having toured the U.S. playing with the Catfish Hodge Band as a young adult. Duane also is a skillful back-up vocalist with a large vocal range. He completes the 3 part vocal line-up.
2. The Duane/Rick connection in middle school
a. Grew up as friends
b. Played a rock concert for Pleasant Hill Intermediate School, CA, as 8th graders; their band also played 5 songs at a school dance.
c. Duane goes on to study bass guitar during the teen years, becomes a professional
i. Plays in several significant bands in the East Bay
ii. Joins the Catfish Hodge Band
1. Records several albums
2. Tours the U.S.
d. Rick goes on to concentrate on sports in high school/junior college
i. HS and Jr. College baseball – starting shortstop
ii. HS football – starting varsity quarterback
e. Both Duane and Rick quit music for 25 years to be dads and raise their children
f. Reunite through the Pleasant Hill High School 1970 class reunion email information
g. Duane and Rick reunite and join Jack to form the TUNERIDERS
