On time arrival, clean and professional setup. We always start on time, and play 3-4 sets with appropriate breaks. We provide recorded music for between sets. We have a professional sound engineer on-site that manages the overall volume and sound. We bring our own lights that keep the energy on the dance floor rocking.
Our bread and butter is classic rock from the 70's and 80's, and we are known in particular for our ability to deliver the great "arena rock" tunes of that era. Some of the greatest rock tunes in history from bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, and Led Zeppelin form the cornerstones of our show. We mix in some bluesy roots rock, a little modern country, and round out the sets with some funky Top 40.
Entertaining audiences up and down the Eastern Shote, Turning Point brings a high energy blend of classic rock, funk, Top 40, and country to venues all over Delmarva. Played through a top-of-the-line custom PA system, and supported by a dazzling display of laser and light, this band brings the party each and every night...
Jeff Weir (vocals and keyboard) is a college band director by day, rock vocalist by night. Having played in some of the areas most popular bands, Twisted Fate, The Absolute and Bad Apple, Jeff combines a killer voice with years of professional musical education to keep the songs true to the original, but with an added dose of high octane. He also brings a solid keyboard and rhythm guitar parts to fill out the sound of Turning Point.
Dave Crismond (guitar and vocals) is a true veteran of the Eastern Shore music scene, having paid his dues as a founding member of local favorites Threepenny Opera. Dave can easily flip the switch from bluesy, soulful riffs to searing, virtuosic leads, and his vocal chops keep the sound full and authentic..
Rusty Dashiells (bass and vocals) is the heartbeat of the group, bringing a hard-nosed bass sensibility and solid groove to the setlist. Formerly playing with Twisted Fate, the Debbie Caldwell Band, and Both Barrels, his funky grooves are delivered with dance floor shaking authority, and that is what sets Rusty’s playing apart from the rest.
Brian Warrell (drums) is a pure connoisseur of classic rock. Formerly providing the backbeat for Eastern Shore veterans Twisted Fate and Third Rail, he sets the foundation of the Turning Point sound. Brian’s rock solid tempos, tasty grooves, and hard hitting power all combine to keep the dance floor popping.
We have access to several different PA systems, so we can play any size venue, indoors or outdoors.
We need six to eight 120V outlets to make sure power gets to all of the production elements (instruments, amps, PA, and lights).
