If you've come across this review, all I have to say is: Don't hesitate and book him while you can! When my wife and I saw Tyler perform and DJ at my best man's wedding, we knew that we had to have him at ours! Even though our wedding was about 15 months later after meeting Tyler, we contacted him the next day so that we can retain him for our wedding day. We had him perform saxophone for our cocktail hour and reception and he was a hit! People could not stop talking about him the day after!

Communication with Tyler was effortless, and he was able to work alongside our lifelong DJ to provide a very smooth transition between mp3s and Tyler's track list. He was even able to learn songs that wasn't on his track list, but was mandatory for our special moments such as first dance, mother-son, and father-daughter dance. Having Tyler play the saxophone live during these moments made these even more memorable! I wish I could have another event so that I can party to Tyler's music again! Maybe that wish will come true, as many of my guests grabbed his business cards and stated they want to book him for their events: maybe even just a family party! Trust me all, he was that good!

Tyler thank you for being an extremely technical, professional and detailed musician. You planned the perfect evening that included custom dedications and a flexible schedule. Everyone from 10 to 70 years old enjoyed every minute you played at the birthday celebration, nobody wanted to leave. If we had to give you a rating it would be a perfect 10!!! Thank you Tyler for making my husband’s birthday so memorable, it was one of those parties that will be remembered for a LONG time!!!

Tyler made our wedding so amazing!! I kept his card years ago and knew I wanted Sax music for our wedding and he exceeded our expectations. We just celebrated our wedding this past weekend and when I tell you Tyler was a hit, I mean he was a SMASHING SUCCESS!! All of our guests raved about him all evening and I continue to get texts from friends and family about how he was such a cool and unique touch. I can't say enough good things about Tyler. Don't even think about it and just hire him, he will single-handedly make your wedding day less stressful, and significantly more epic. Tyler Varnell is an absolute wedding/ event experience- we couldn't have picked a better vendor to play at our wedding. Not only is he an amazing musician, but he was able to become the star of the show and really rock the dance floor (or in our case, a second story balcony over looking reception). He can set a classy, romantic, vibey tone during cocktail hour and then turn around and play hits next to you on the dance floor during reception. Tyler is AMAZING and so multi-talented. His piano brings out the emotion during the softer moments in the ceremony. His sax brings the perfect cocktail vibes right after the ceremony. If there's one thing you can do to make your wedding memorable, its hiring Tyler. He's so talented! We had him as our pianist as guests walked in and our saxophonist during cocktail hour/reception and he stole the show. All our guests were amazed at how well he handled the crowd, handled the live music and mp3 all while being the emcee. His list of music is quite wide range too so he can play for any crowd. We postponed our wedding 4 times and all four times, Tyler was so quick to respond giving us tips, ideas, and simple encouragement. He was definitely the smoothest vendor I had who even convinced the owner the of the venue to allow live music during reception (there's a certain sound decibel limit at night). Overall, great experience. Hire this guy, you won't regret it.

WOW. Tyler Varnell is a superstar. We hired Tyler at the recommendation of our DJ (Eric Morales of Extreme DJs) after mentioning we wanted to add an element of "live music" even though we wanted to hire a DJ for the evening. We hired Tyler to play Cocktail Hour solo and then accompany Eric during the reception -- dinner, dancing and after party. I'm not exaggerating when I say every single guest approached us during the wedding to tell us how incredible Tyler was. He is engaging, fun, talented and knows how to get the party started and keep it going. His song book covers all genres, and he played a variety of music that appealed to all guests, regardless of age (our families loved when he played Bruno Mars, and my girlfriends went INSANE when he played "Mr. Brightside" -- he can do it all!). He also played during our wedding party grand entrance and our first dance -- which kept our guests engaged. If you are looking for entertainment to truly "wow" your guests, hire Tyler. I'm not sure if you can find a guy to jazz up (no pun intended) your wedding or party any more than this guy right here. To this day (3 months after our wedding), I am still getting compliments about the small details of our wedding, but the most popular compliment I've received has been about our saxophone player, Tyler. He blew our crowd away with his talent during both our cocktail hour and then again during the reception. We hired a friend who DJ'd along side Tyler and their chemistry was seamless which made it very easy. He was great communicating with us the whole time, making sure he was on the same page with which vibe we wanted throughout certain parts of the night. He played everything from old school to new school and even ended with a song we requested him to learn days leading up to the event.

Hi, groom here, just got back from my honeymoon after our wedding a month ago.

I’m originally from Israel and sent a song to Tyler that is from my country and is about 30 years old, and told him that I’m not expecting anything but if this can somehow be played during the dance with my mom(I’m the groom) it would be incredible. Tyler began the song and, a couple verses in, came in with the saxophone solo and I just completely lost it. Beyond beautiful, words can’t do that moment justice. We hired Tyler to play a 180 person cocktail party and dinner at Pelican Hill for a corporate event. He was so good that the crowd wouldn't let him stop so we ended up hiring him for an additional hour! We wanted him to play more pop music versus more traditional jazz as we wanted an upbeat performance. He did an awesome job with his playlist.

I am not over exaggerating when I say Tyler is my wedding day Super Hero. I had booked a sax player months ago on a different website as a surprise for my soon to be husband for the wedding. All of the sudden my original saxophone player bailed on me 1.5 week before the wedding and I was devastated! I scrambled to find a sax player last minute who could play the songs that I wanted with high energy and passion.

From the initial message to meeting up to the final performance Tyler was professional, enthusiastic, and gave it 110%. My guest and my husband were blown away at the wedding, so many people talked about how awesome the sax player was and it was definitely a highlight of the wedding.
