My name is T.R. Banks, stage name is Jamilah Renae. You can expect to hear inspirational thoughts in poetic form from me. I've been performing on stage since 2007 but I self-published my first book of poetry in 2003 and I've been blessed with great feedback every since.
I was very disappointed. Ugly Beauty didn't show for my event. She sent me a message 10 minutes before the event started and told me she couldn't come. I do understand that things come up , but I wouldn't recommend this artist.

Published Author/Poet/ Spoken Word Performer, Ms. Terry R. Banks was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She began writing and finding inspiration from all aspects of her life and the lives of others at a young age, she found that poetry was her calm within the storms of life. Her first body of work, Emotions- A Dairy of Words was published in 2003. All of the positive feedback confirmed that her voice was much needed and in 2008 In My Darkest Hour was published. Also during that time she began performing at various venues in the Southeast Texas area under the stage name Ugly Beauty. In the fall of 2010 she recorded her first spoken word CD entitled UnSpoken. She now lives in the DFW area and goes by Jamilah Renae Rashida which means Beauty Reborn Righteous. Search for her on iTunes, Amazon, Barnes and Noble etc. for her books and CDs.
