Dear Dr. Moore,
Please accept my most profuse apologies. I take full responsibility for several misunderstandings on my part that culminated in no music for your cocktail hour.
I'm so thankful your wedding was very beautiful otherwise and that everything else went smoothly.
Looking back through our communications, I'm glad to see that I had responded to your messages the same day or within 72 hours during the first few weeks. Then I began having severe technical difficulties for the better part of September through October.
By the time everything was restored, it was late October and I erroneously assumed you had hired another musician seeing it was so close to your wedding date. My sincere apologies for not verifying this with you in time.
Let me also hasten to apologize for my errors re your song choices. Earlier when you asked my opinion, I thought you meant the "P.I.M.P." song by 50 Cent which you suggested to start off your cocktail reception.
I thought you were asking me to both play & sing this song...
I didn't know then that it's a destination wedding for adults only. So my response was that I usually "...exercise caution when it comes to the choice of music played at weddings...there may be children or minors present, as well as adults who might not feel comfortable with songs that have explicit lyrics or innuendos...Perhaps we could reserve (these) hip hop songs to be played by your DJ after your dinner reception?"
My response was based on my experience at past events, where a few attendees expressed discomfort to me when I played radio-edit (or cleaned) versions of some popular songs. I was hoping to spare you any such response for your wedding guests, and again I apologize for this tremendous misunderstanding.
Dr. Moore, I've never missed an event in all my years as a professional musician. If there is any way I can make amends please let me know. I wish you both true love & happiness together.
