I play music from America's heritage (folk music). I also explain how banjos work and encourage others to learn to play them. I perform for special occasions, events, background music, coffee shops, children and adults, and can even play the national anthem.
Our event was a full day of lectures, interviews, and heavy discussion topics. To keep energy up, we invited Uncle Sam to play his banjo during breaks and interact with our crowd. He looked the part exactly and brought gravitas and joy to the role.
Gary delighted our group members with his banjo performance, history lesson and humor all tied into one. He also researched and performed songs specific to the group's interests. Gary is a class act!
