Mr. Williams was timely (arriving hours before start time), observant (adjusting the needs as the show progressed), professional and courteous. I have no complaints. Also, he communicated instantly from the start of our connection until the end making sure all needs were addressed.
If I ever need a sound technician, I will not hesitate to contact Mr. Williams.
Contracted Victor Stanley (Upper Octave) for sound engineering and audio recording services for our non-denominational event. Mr. Stanley and Company arrived late and did not bring back-up cables when it was discovered that one of the cables that he supplied was defective. After the event, we learned that our speaker's message was not captured on audio as some technical error had occurred. I spoke with Mr. Stanley after the event and he profusely apologized for the poor service we received and he promised to work with his IT Dept. to see if there was any way to recover any of the audio from the event. Also, Upper Octave was paid in full prior to the start of our event, per contract. He also stated that our ministry would receive a refund due to us not receiving what we contracted Upper
Octave for. To date (Jan 1st, 2016), our ministry has not received the refund promised by Mr. Stanley nor has he, nor anyone on his staff, returned my numerous phone calls that I've placed to Upper Octave. To say the least, we are highly disappointed and offended at being treated in this manner.
Response from Upper Octave Productions:
This is Scope from upperoctaves and this is completely unacceptable. I was unaware you were trying to make contact. Email me directly & i'll share my personal cell with you. Scope@upperoctaves.com . Your event was a poor representative of our quality as a business for several reasons, but I'm not here to make excuses, I'm here to respond to you & correct what i can at this point. I was unaware you didn't receive the refund you were promised. There are 2 options. With such a bad experience, i will assume you wouldn't want to work with us again, however, if so, I will personally give you a DRASTICALLY reduced rate in order to not only restore your faith but to compensate you for such a poor experience. The other option is to take the deposit of $200 you were promised. I can talk to you offline concerning the reason for the issues but I'm sure that doesn't matter in hindsight to you. I assure you this is an isolated incident and we have many repeat satisfied customers. I am very sorry!
My experience with Upper Octive was (and the opinion of everyone I talked to) a train wreck. It happens and I understand that; but why us?
Response from Upper Octave Productions:
Wow! I didn't see that coming. We did our best to accommodate the band arriving late and plug them all in as quickly as possible. That didn't leave time for a sound check. We made adjustments on the fly as info was communicated to us regarding the sound needs of the band and singers. I'm sorry that your experience wasn't all you hoped but there are certain things we can't control on a limited time crunch. Thank you for choosing us and I hope your experience with us or any other company improves moving fwd.
Price Range: $150 and up
Insurance: $1,000,000 - Liability
In audio to go up an octave with regard to frequency you must double said frequency; so one octave up from 2,000Hz is 4,000Hz. At Upper Octave Productions we take that concept and apply it to the service we provide. We want to help our clients take their events up an octave by providing double the quality, assurance, and support in order to deliver exceptional events that wow those who attend them. We seek to operate with the highest level of professionalism while also making sure that we help our clients realize their vision for whatever type of event they are organizing or system they are having installed. At Upper Octave Productions we work to take you higher.
