I sing gospel, praise and worship, contemporary christian, background, lead and I have a group. I also sing jazz, folk, blues and soul, and play the guitar.
I contracted with Valencia to sing at a memorial luncheon for my Mother. She arrived early with her guitar! Seemed very flexible in adjusting to the room we were in for the event. Her accompanist was also great. They provided "cocktail" music. When we started the actual program, she did a beautiful rendition of "We will meet again". Tears flowed literally from my eyes and some of the guests. Valencia's voice is powerful and beautiful. In fact, she really did not need the microphone! Hire her for your event. You will have absolutely no regrets. Thank you Valencia for making the luncheon quite special. My mother would have loved you!
I have brought Ms. Bey in for several projects as an accompaniment to my work as a visual artist. Because my projects are always new work, she has listened with an attentive ear and delivered with aplomb. She is a bravura entertainer.
