Justin is an actor and filmmaker in the DMV area. He grew up in Maryland and currently still resides there. He has traveled up and down the DMV area, being involved in various film projects. Equally comfortable in front of or behind the camera, Justin's passion for film started at an early age. One of his first films was a six-hour epic, a back yard production done when he was 13 with his brother and a neighbor, and reminiscent of the film "Super 8", minus the monsters. Though a very amature production, it taught Justin many valuable things about filmmaking.
Graduating with honors from Stevenson University with a degree in Film, he honed his skills with student projects, music videos, and independent films, applying increasingly advanced techniques, including complex special effects. Justin also began composing his own original scores for his films. He began to acquire crew positions on productions in the Washington, D.C. area, including boom operator and sound recorder for "Life Fine Tuned" (Renaissance Women Productions - 2011), which won several independent film awards. Other crew positions include DIT for "The Rangers" (The Forge Studios - 2015), and camera operator for several music videos for local musicians.
Justin's debut as a producer/director came in 2012 with the film "Made in the U.S.A. - a 30 Day Journey" for which he traveled the country for a month with the film's creator Josh Miller. In addition to the role of director, Justin was responsible for the camera work and editing, helping to tell Josh's story.
Justin has also been involved in the world of the "web-series", being director, co-writer, and producer of a series called "Genre Wars: Resistance Rising." He also appears in the series as the character "Reman". Justin took a story concept, which was conceived for his first entry in an online film contest that Genre Wars originated as, and began expanding the world, applying a vision of a larger story that originated from a few characters in that first contest short film.
In recent years, Justin has continued to offer freelance video services to various clients in the area, including Howard Tech Advisors, National Center For College and Career Transitions, Howard County Public School System: Department of Special Education, UAV Solutions, Cedar Brook Academy, Forcey Bible Church, Illinois State Society, and The Forge Studios
