I booked Vince for a small dinner party celebrating my husband's birthday. From start to finish, Vince is the consummate professional with grace, charm, and exceptional talent. He is absolutely spectacular all around, from his prompt and efficient communication to his incredible voice and skill with a guitar. His repertoire of songs is fantastically expansive; no need to pre-select from his lengthy song list as he is extraordinarily perceptive and picks up on the vibe, ambiance, and style of the room and curates a delightful selection for your group. One of his most impressive talents that our entire dinner party observed was how perceptive he was in noticing the details. For example, when we were all chatting together, he thoughtfully played music without voice; then, when we were eating and relaxing in between courses, he sang crowd-pleasing songs that showcased his unbelievable voice and range. He was graciously flexible when dinner unexpectedly ran long, and we are so appreciative of his extra time and willingness to continue entertaining our guests. Trust him and his process; it will make for a magical evening! In fact, he was THE highlight of our evening and most definitely will be the highlight of yours!

Mr. Rivers was the guest artist for my grandma's 90th birthday party and he was amazing. He arrived a hour early and was ready to begin on time. Mr. Rivers is very professional. His voice is amazing and he knows how to get the crowd involved. My family is still talking about his stage presence and his voice. He left a lasting impression on my family and made a special memory for my grandma. I never met him prior to the party and I booked him via GigSalad; however, I was not disappointed. He is truly a gem. His pose, personality, style, and stage presence are all bonuses to his voice. He knew how to sing blues as well as new age music. He can sing any genre of music. If you select him, you will not be disappointed. He will take your event to the next level of excellence. I will definitely hire him for another event.

excellent, the tempo just right for this gathering, not intrusive, but you could sing along or tap your feet if you felt like it, his voice enables him to sing a diverse range of different songs, and I would definitely recommend and use him again.

I reached out to Vince last minute because the band I had booked fell through. He was incredibly accomodating and was willing to help me out last minute with no issues. He was flexible during the event as I needed him in two different locations throughout the course of the evening. His music was the perfect accomniment to a wonderful evening. Vince came to our home wedding early. He played some very impressive jazz guitar early, love songs for the ceremony and popular song for the reception. The preacher was 45 minutes late and Vince remained cool as ever. He said " no problem" and kept playing white the caterer served beverages. I would hire him again for any event! He has the voice of an angel.

I helped plan a campout in our neighborhood and wanted to have some live music! I reached out to several musicians on GigSalad and got a quick response from Vince. While we were nailing down the details he was quick to respond, easy to work with and no drama. He showed up when he said he would, played some great tunes everyone enjoyed and had a great natural sound that kept the mood chill and fun. We will have Vince come out again I’m sure!

Vince Rivers played at my mom's wedding reception and was a huge hit!! The setting was very private and low key at my brother's house. Vince was very polite and professional and went right to work. Showed up about an hour before guest arrived to do sound checks and set up. He pick all the right music for the group and had the kids grooving on the dance floor! I highly recommend Vince for anyone's party and I can guaranty I will use him again!

Vince Rivers is a singer/guitarist that performs acoustic, soulful renditions of modern music; think “Music of John Legend and Jack Johnson sung in the soulful style of Bill Withers or Al Green.”– but infused with hints of blues, jazz & reggae. He has a very “Honest and Pure” approach to performing that creates an intimate and engaging experience for his listeners. His vocal style can be described as “warm, smooth, clean,” with a guitar style that perfectly compliments his voice, and musical arrangements that make classics sound new. His repertoire crosses genres that fuses modern, popular music with timeless, soulful jazz and blues.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Vince has been performing in the southeast since 2005. Cities he performs frequently include Charleston, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Columbia, Spartanburg, Greenville, Florence, Charlotte, Winston-Salem. He has performed as a solo artist and band leader during this time also producing, recording and arranging music for other artists in the region. He often performs for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, wedding receptions, private events, corporate events, retreats, family reunions, birthday parties, private events, rehearsal dinners, house parties, music festivals, ministries and outreach programs. He has studied Music Theory at The College of Charleston, and Classical Guitar and Music Therapy and Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. He currently studies Jazz guitar in Charlotte with a private instructor.
