Violinist Brenna Carey

Brenna Carey is a freelance violinist who lives in Portland, Oregon. She started playing the violin at the age of 6 and continued to receive her Bachelor’s degree in violin performance at the University of Minnesota in 2016. Following this she earned her Master’s degree in violin performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England in 2019. Brenna has performed solo and chamber music performances at concert halls and classical music festivals around the world, including the Barbican Hall in London, The Museo Evaristo Valle in Spain, the De Falla music festival in Spain, the Pienza music festival in Italy, and numerous locations throughout the Midwestern United States. Brenna has experience performing for weddings and events since 2011. She excels in the classical music genre but also enjoys the opportunity to arrange violin parts for music in other genres such as pop, blues, R&B, folk and has the ability to improvise.

To perform acoustically, I don’t require any additional equipment and I can provide my own music stand if needed. For larger or more crowded spaces, I require a microphone to perform, or I can use my pickup to hook up to an amp. If the space is dimly lit, I will require some additional lighting or a music stand light.
