A dynamic, engaging look into our daily lives and the frustrations we face. Three separate talks all focus around the people we work with and the relationships we build. We face so many challenges every day and yet we still manage to create additional barriers to make our working lives harder!
The audience will leave feeling empowered with an air of positivity and armed with the tools to build strong, successful, productive teams.
The three primary talks are listed below:
• The impact of culture on the workplace
• Breaking down barriers and thriving in uncertainty
• Are we all really that different?
I started in the automotive industry when I left University in Sheffield, U.K. in July of 2001. I spent the next ten years working at collision facilities for two major European automotive manufacturers across the U.K. and Europe, before I joined Jaguar Land Rover Global HQ in Coventry U.K. It was there that I learnt how to work with large global teams and develop long term business relationships despite many internal barriers. It was here that my passion for speaking originated as I began to speak at conferences.
I worked with global National Sales Centers and Importers around the World improving technical fixes and customer service and remained in that capacity for three years before moving onto Shanghai, China in 2014. Whilst in Shanghai, we were able to set up a Front Desk Engineering function that thrived in the global environment despite many cultural and geographical obstacles.
I joined MSX International in New Jersey in the summer of 2017. I was responsible for developing our business with European Manufacturers with an increase in sales of over 75% during my five-year stay.
In 2021, I was recruited to Head the entire Americas region for ASE Global, a Worldwide Business Management company. Again, we faced historic, cultural and geographical barriers that had to be broken down. It was here that my speaking really became a reality and I took the opportunity to join Speakerlab who gave clarity, confidence and a clear path for me to make an impact.
I have since returned to MSX International as a Director and love the interactions with global clients on a daily basis but it is speaking where my passion really lies. Sharing those global experiences and helping others to overcome daily frustrations is where I really thrive!
Able to work in any environment, any place. The only prop required for the performance is a plastic cup!
There are visuals available if a screen is on stage but the talks can be delivered with or without the technology.
• The impact of culture on the workplace
o This is a popular choice. I leverage my experience working across multiple Countries and Continents including Europe, Asia and America. This is an informative talk that will not only give your audience considerable knowledge on the cultural differences that exist between people and markets but also understand the reasons why.
• Breaking down barriers and thriving in uncertainty
o This is my signature talk and is the perfect way to begin or end your Conference. It inspires the audience to see through processes, bureaucracy, and see people for who they really are. The audience will leave feeling invigorated and excited to implement collaborative, enjoyable work environments as well as forming lasting relationships.
• Are we all really that different?
o This is a great talk designed to highlight both the similarities and differences between people. It leaves the audience feeling empowered and content with who they are. We are created equal but are all unique in our own way. Don’t cave in to following the norm!
Simon Sinek has been a big inspiration for me as a professional speaker. It's not only the message but how he delivers it! We can all learn from his perspective on life.
Second would be my mentor at Speakerlab, Erick Rheam. I was fortunate enough to have him as a mentor during my studies and the story of his life is an inspiration to all his students
