Janye Anderson was believable, engaging and delightful as the head madam Maddie Silks. She successfully brought to life the all the human characteristics of Maddie and the audience responded enthusiastically.
Response from We Give Productions:
Thank you, Dixie. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the performance!
All the best,
Janye Anderson
Janye Anderson’s portrayal of the famous Madam of the Gold Rush era, Maddie Silks, was suburb! Janye’s years of experience shine through as she is the consummate actor, having acted and directed for 20 years! If you ever get a chance to attend one of her performances, you will be greatly delighted!
Mattie Silks is a one-woman play about a madam in Denver, CO in the 1800s. Janye Anderson’s portrayal of Mattie Silks was humorous, tough, and poignant. Anderson understood the nuances of the Silk’s complexity, and her acting was superb. The play was very enjoyable and I highly recommend seeing anything involving We Give Productions or Janye Anderson. You cannot go wrong with this entertainment!

We Give Productions™ provides both dramatic/dramedy and light-hearted comedic theatrical performances which are approximately one hour in length. They travel with a minimal set to accommodate smaller venues.
Janye Anderson is the founder of We Give Productions™. As an actor with almost 20 years experience, it has recently been a dream of hers to create a path for fellow actors to join forces and create theatrical performances specifically for over-55 communities throughout the Houston area. She decided to also offer these shorter plays to corporate and private events as well in order to broaden the exposure for her performers.
Venues need to provide a stage in a room that can also accommodate ample seating for audience members. A good sound system and stage lighting is encouraged.
In addition, the actors will need a private place to change into their costumes and the ability to enter and exit the stage easily. All details can be discussed individually with those requesting more information.
Our performances are no different from attending a performance in an actual theatre, in that the audiences must stay seated and quiet during the performances.
