Norm was such a pleasure to work with and have officiate our wedding. We found him via Thumbtack, and my husband and I were lucky enough to conduct our pre-marital counseling with Norm prior to our wedding. Therefore, he got to know us very well so the actual ceremony was personable, fun, enjoyable, and absolutely beautiful. We received many compliments about the ceremony and Norm specifically. We could not have found a better person to marry us. He is just a great human being a makes you feel comfortable to be you! He helped with some moments where we had some technical difficulties and helped my husband relax during the long wait for me to walk down the isle. My husband and I found Norm on the website, Thumbtack, and messaged him to ask if he would be able to provide both premarital counseling and officiant services for us. He promptly responded to us in the positive and, once we had decided to use his services, he quickly provided us with details about the materials we would need for counseling. As this was in the midst of the 2020-21 pandemic, he was very flexible and allowed us to do counseling virtually. He worked with us both over Skype and over Zoom video chatting services. We were very happy with his professional but warm and kind demeanor during our counseling sessions, and even more pleased with his officiating on our wedding day. When our wedding ceremony had a few mishaps (such as when our unity candle blew out during our unity candle ceremony and we had to relight it - oops), he saved the day with just a few spontaneous words that lightened the mood and relieved the pressure and dismay we felt. He added to our day so much, and afterward at the reception, everyone commented on what a great job he did and what a nice person he was - including both my parents and my husband's parents. We could not have had such a wonderful start to our marriage without Norm's help.

Having both of us not been originally from Nashville, one of the biggest things we struggled with when planning our wedding was finding someone to officiate it. We were a little apprehensive booking someone based solely off of online reviews for something that was so important in our lives. From the moment I reached out to Norm, we were immediately put at ease. He touched based with us not even ten minutes after me contacting him and right after the initial phone call, I knew that I no longer needed to continue looking for an officiant. Norm was very flexible with how we wanted the ceremony to look, and from the moment he arrived, he felt like an old friend rather than someone we were just meeting for the first time. He was professional and warm and made our ceremony a breeze. He took the time before the ceremony to chat with us a gave us advice that we all take with us throughout our marriage! We cannot recommend Norm enough!

We enjoyed having Norman officiate our elopement at Percy Priest Lake. Norman put us at ease and made our ceremony both playful and romantic. Norman was like an old friend by the end of the ceremony. And all I can say is- your so Nashville if...your wedding officiant is also a successful song writer. Thanks Norman!

Great guy and a great personality

Norm was exceptional! He is kind, understanding, and extremely supportive. He helped us to personalize our ceremony ensuring we were both happy and comfortable along the way. We had an interfaith wedding and it went seamlessly. He did a wonderful job keeping the nerves away and truly felt like an old friend guiding us through. He goes above an beyond to help in any way he can. We cannot recommend him enough!

We could not have asked for a better officiant! Norm was like an old friend, so friendly and easy to talk to. Also very quick to respond to our inquiry and questions. We had our ceremony at our home on the lake complete with three dogs running around, and Norm took it all in stride! He truly made our most special day even more special and memorable!

Norm did a wonderful job on our elopement ceremony! He started conversatoon to help us feel less awkward before and after our nuptials. It seemed he felt very comfortable with us after only having met us. Was the perfect choice and we couldn't be happier with his service.

Wedding planning in a pandemic is as chaotic as it sounds and when my first minister called to tell me they could not do the ceremony a week before my wedding I freaked out. Luckily I messaged Norm and he responded immediately and we quickly worked out the details for my ceremony. We had a lovely ceremony and Norm helped us start the next chapter in our life. He also gave us great couples advice that I will always remember. Thank you again Norm!

Norm was an amazing officiant. The guests all thought Norm was a long term friend of our, but we only spoke on the phone once before the ceremony. He did a fantastic job, you can’t go wrong with Norm!

Norm was a godsend! I contacted him with basically a week and a half left before my wedding. Due to Covid, all of my plans were trashed! From the start, he was there to save the day. He was very in tune when it came to doing anything special that we wanted, and even though we kept it pretty generic, he managed to make it super special! From holding my bouquet and cracking jokes during the ceremony, to taking awesome pictures afterward, he helped make everything amazing! My husband accidentally left our paperwork in the glove compartment of his car and Norm not only went to get it, he filled it out and left it in the glove compartment along with our program and some of the leaves from the Ginko trees we were married under. 12/10 would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Norm was absolutely wonderful. He did everything we asked. We were able to preview his speech before hand and make minor revisions, then when he got there he gave us such wonderful advise and talked us through everything. My husband said "Norm got me through it" I highly recommend!

Norm came in and made it easy to relax around him! He was well dressed and was very well prepared as to the type of ceremony we had discussed! The ceremony was well conducted by Norm and I would highly recommend his services to anyone in the future!
