My job is to capture beautiful, romantic images, so that you can forever cherish and remember the most joyous and meaningful day of your life. In one sense, wedding photography is easy. All of the subjects come dressed to the nines, they are merry, the ambiance is upbeat and everyone wants to have their picture taken. But it is just that uniqueness that requires a competent professional. There will be no second chances to shoot your wedding.

Many wedding photographers love to give you rules and regulations, numbers of photos, contracts, times, blah blah. I'm not into that at all. I come, shoot your wedding, make it look amazing, and give you whatever you want when I'm done. I am happy to do exactly what you want, or do my own thing as I have so many times before. I will offer my opinion but nothing is set. This is your day, you make the rules, not me.
I own and run Weddings by Ben by myself, but years in the photography business have left me with some pretty amazing contacts. I bring in the best video and photography people available to help me out with getting the best results!
Since I was very little I’ve always been active. I’ve been on camping and bicycle trips since before I can remember. My lifestyle hasn’t really changed since then. The sports have changed, the scenery has changed, and I have gotten older.
My drive to do and to explore has only increased. I have lived on 6 continents, all for different reasons, some to scuba dive, ski, trek and some just to bum around on a backpack.
My photography style has changed quite a bit over the years. It started with underwater, then moved above water to landscapes. Then landscapes turned to wildlife that was curious about why I would sit around waiting for the sun to hit the mountain just right. That then turned into people and people turned into controlling the lighting of people in my studio. I have explored so many genres of photography and really enjoy doing weddings with my spare time.
My goal with my photography is to connect with my subject. I see it as a collaboration rather than a single sided encounter. Its a symbiotic relationship that requires my subjects to get a feel and understanding of what we want to achieve as a team.
