Our manager Marc Jaffrey, and our owner Sandi Read, have been offering horse drawn carriage rides to the public for the last six years. Wild Iris farm uses only the best equipment, the best staff, and the best trained horses for all of our events. Safety for our guests, staff, and horses is always comes first in any event that we participate in. Recently Wild Iris Farm has started offering horse drawn carriage ride tours and taxi services in bustling downtown Bar Harbor. It has been a huge hit with both the tourists and the locals in town. Marc has over 15 years experience working with draft horses and Sandi has over 12 years experience working with draft horses. Wild iris farm offers professional services for weddings, funerals, birthday parties and special events. We provide excellent customer service and discuss every detail of the event in advance with our clients to make sure that we have everything in order to create an event that is magical and unique to each of our clients.

We use only well trained and conditioned Shire draft horses for your event. All of our equipment is inspected daily to be sure that it is in perfect working order. Our staff undergoes extensive training and is required to have yearly training sessions and lessions from carriage industry leaders. All of our staff are current members of Carriage Operators of North America and we all meet or exceed their standards in performance and safety for a carriage operator/provider.
