Gig Length: 20 - 60 minutes
William combines deduction, psychology, and suggestion to influence thoughts and read minds. Hold a thought in your mind and he will know it! Ask him a personal question about yourself or your future and he will answer it! William’s show includes and engages every member of the audience, even if they never set foot on stage. As the show progresses, the excitement builds as your guests hope that they will be chosen next to play impossible mind games. Everyone will be on the edge of their seats – And with each successive demonstration of his abilities, you will believe that the impossible is in fact possible.
Over the course of the performance, William influences your audience members to think of specific times and words, and at one point he even wagers $100 on his ability to influence the outcome of a game. He also reveals names, special dates, places, and other personal information known only to audience members. William will be the highlight of your event and will leave your audience talking about their experience for years to come.
William’s show is specifically designed to be tailored to meet your needs. Whether you need a 20 minute show after an award ceremony or an hour feature performance, William works with you to fit your requirements. Over a decade of experience allows him to entertain small groups of 15 all the way up to 500.
“As far as Rader’s act, wow! I was fortunate enough to have William pick up my thoughts. He read my freaking mind! The show was full of comedy, mystery, and magic. You should see this show if you want to leave feeling amazed, bewildered, and utterly at a loss of understanding for the capabilities of the human mind.”
Meredith Donaldson, The Norman Weekender

PERFORMANCE RIDER FOR WILLIAM RADER'S “READING MINDS”
1. PERFORMANCE SPACE: The venue must be suitably heated/cooled and ventilated. The performance area must measure a minimum of 16 feet wide by 12 feet deep. It must be clear of obstructions such as lecterns, cables, speakers, band or DJ equipment. The surface must be smooth, clean and level. IMPORTANT: If other performers will be using the performance space, please notify Mr. Rader (performer) prior to show day.
2. STAIRS: If a stage is being used, easy and direct access from the stage into the audience is necessary. If the stage is over 12 inches high, provide stairs that lead directly into the audience from the FRONT of the stage.
3. SOUND SYSTEM: The sound system is a very important element in the show. It must be a QUALITY system in perfect working condition, suitable for both speaking and music. It should include the following:
1. Wireless lavaliere
2. Hand Held Microphone or Wireless Microphone on a stand.
3. Input Jack for music beside the lighting board
IMPORTANT: Most professional performance venues have proper PA systems. Hotels and banquet halls often have systems with speakers mounted in the ceiling – these speakers cannot handle the requirements for this show and will NOT be used. DJ or band PA systems are usually not suitable. If there is any doubt, please contact Mr. Rader or his representative prior to show day. If these requirements are unavailable at the facility, other arrangements will need to be made with a PA system supplier or rental company.
4. LIGHTING: The existing room lighting is usually sufficient, unless performing in a theater. If stage lighting is unavailable, other arrangements will need to be made with a supplier or rental company. For a theatrical look, you may wish to use a basic stage wash with “No Color Pink” (Rosco 33) or equivalent gels. A lighting technician will be required the night of the show.
5. SEATING: If the house does not contain fixed seating, the first audience row should be placed approximately five feet away from the front of the stage. If a dance floor is located in front of the stage, please fill it with portable chairs. It is necessary to have a clear path from stage to seats and a center aisle running from the stage through the audience seating to the back of the house.
7. ACCESS: A minimum of forty-five (45) minutes for setup and sound checks prior to the audience arrival in venue.
8. BILLING: Mr. Rader shall be billed as a “Mind Reader” or “Mentalist”.
9. COLLATERAL USE: It is strictly prohibited to film, videotape or make an audio recording of the performance(s). There can be no photography taken during the performance(s) without approval.
