Bill Johnson as Bob Hope was the main entertainer in a show which included, Marilyn Monroe, Ann Margaret, Phyllis Diller and The Andrew Sisters. This show was a complete sellout and was attended by alot of Veterans who had seen Bob Hope in Vietnam including myself. This show brought back good memories , you see when Bob Hope came to Vietnam he brought laughter, a little bit of home but more importantly he brought beautiful women !!! Bill did just that in Langhorne, PA. The feedback has been nothing but positive, One Veteran even said it was the first time since he came home from Vietnam in 1968 that he felt welcomed home and proud of his service. If your looking for a Bob Hope impersonator, look no more, Bill Johnson is your man. He puts on a great show is very professional , you will not be disappointed.

I first contacted Bill Johnson about serving as the Master of Ceremonies for this USO type event in September 2015. Since that time, he was an active participant in program content, design and casting...all of which paid huge dividends in the successful execution of two well attended performances of a highly entertaining and much appreciated event. A true professional with whom it is a pleasure to work.

Bill Johnson truly nailed Bob Hope in so many ways. Between the belly laughs, groans, and double takes, he laced his performance with a couple heart wrenching moments in his USO Christmas base hopping style performance. Moments of patriotism remembering those who gave their all. Humble and gentle, Bill epitomized the spirit of Bob Hope not to mention nailing his looks, gestures and tone. Our CCK Air Base Taiwan reunion ended on a very high note with Bills performance. He was amazing!!
If you are an military focused group (American Legion, USO, VFW, DAV, VA) retirement communities or any patriotic organization Bill Johnson can and will bring excitement and joy to your event as he kindles memories and thoughts of special time on our country.

Having Bill Johnson as MC for our USO tribute was indeed just what we needed. Our 2015 Les Brown Big Band Festival saluted the 60th anniversary of the first time the Band of Renown accompanied Bob Hope on a USO tour. As MC of our USO show, Bill kept the show going by entertaining the troops (audience) while the next band set up behind the stage curtains. After 5 hours of festival, it was easy to believe that our MC was Bob Hope. He is a joy to work with and would be a boost to anyone's program.

Talk about a Classy line up of Professional Tribute Artists'. Bill Johnson as Bob Hope, Kristy Casey as Marilyn Monroe and Levi Silver as Elvis Presley.
Here goes the play by play of this performance best as I could remember.
Bill Johnson as Bob Hope opened the show with his classic one liners. Bill Johnson really captures not only the image but the timing of his jokes & respected comedy of Bob Hope. The same goes for Kristy Casey as Marilyn Monroe. Not only did Kristy Casey sing exactly like Monroe, she sang to not only one contest winner but two. Kristy's sexy Marilyn style made one of them blush. Kristy Casey, had everything down perfect, the Marilyn speaking voice, her singing style and even her sexy walk. Next up was Levi Silver as Elvis right out of the Army. Levi had the crowd really going. He got everyone involved. His Elvis voice was amazing! He looked just like Elvis, sex appeal, charm and all. While singing to a woman she couldn't help herself from kissing and hugging him. Then Bill, Kristy & Levi, did a very funny skit, that ended with all 3 of them singing a song together. This trio should go on tour with this act is what I kept thinking. After some awards were giving out
The 2nd set started off with some announcements from the sponsor of the event VHS, then Bill Johnson & Kristy Casey did a skit together. I felt like I was watching a 1960's TV Special. Then Kristy Casey did another set of Marilyn Monroe songs, this time in the classic Red Dress I think Marilyn wore during, "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" video. The closing performance was, The very talented, Levi Silver in the classic Elvis American Eagle jumpsuit. Sounding exactly like Elvis and looking very sexy & stunning in the jumpsuit dedicating the last 2 songs to the Fallen Soldiers and Veterans he lead us in a moment of silence then started singing, Dixie Land, This was a very moving moment, Levi mentioned to me after the show, how his dad was a War Hero and how this show meant a lot to him. Finally, Bill Johnson, Kristy Casey and Levi Silver entered the stage one last time while Bill Johnson was singing, it was a beautiful ending to a very enjoyable & sincere tribute to the United States of America, soldiers. Thank You, Bill Johnson, Kristy Casey and Levi Silver for kicking off this Memorial Day weekend on a positive and very sincere note.To whoever put this event together please make it an annual thing. Thank you

Thanks for your review Meagan! I had a wonderful time doing the show in Pineville. The producer of the show was a group called Veterans Homecare Solutions. They are really nice folks doing very good things for Veterans in the Alexandria/Pineville area. Hopefully, there will be more shows with this line up in the future!
Best regards,
Bill

Response from Bob Hope Impersonator - Bill Johnson:
Thanks a million for your kind words Khyentse! It was a thrill and an honor for me to be part of your magical evening. Plus, it is always a joy to perform in tribute to Veterans. I have to say, with an audience of over 2500, it was just like entertaining the "troops!"
As "Bob" would say, "thanks for the memory!"
Best regards, Bill
"Bob" was a big hit in our "Welcome Home: A Tribute to the Veterans of Vietnam" program. Within a very few minutes the crowd of 600 people were in the palm of his hand. Bill's presentation was a perfect blend of Bob Hope history and a showing of respect for the Vietnam vets. He received a standing ovation which was well deserved. We'll have him back for sure if we do another tribute.

Bill Johnson "Bob Hope" did an amazing job entertaining our clients and giving them a special night to remember. We could not have asked for a better experience. It was like working with an old friend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bill on the USS Midway when Amway rented it out for the Achievers 2010 celebration in Las Vegas. Having actually been a USO photographer and traveling with Bob Hope in 1983-84, I can say first hand that Bill was a spot on impersonator, right down to the voice and mannerisms.
Bill was also the utmost professional!
Mr. Johnson was the master of ceremonies at Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas' Annual Veterans Day Celebration. 350 veterans and their families attended the event and walked away delighted with Mr. Johnson's performance! -And what an AMAZING performance it was! "Mr. Hope's" stage presence was remarkable! He did his homework in researching the current political issues and design of Los Angeles and incorporated it into his act. The audience was left with a true sense of in being in the presence of the real Mr. Hope as he received a standing ovation.

Bill Johnson performed at our Army Birthday Ball in Long Beach, California. This elegant black tie event has been the premier Army social event on the West Coast for decades. Our theme this year was "A Tribute to Veterans" -- what better entertainment than "Bob Hope?" Bill Johnson was a delight. He helped up with a "mini USO-type show" that included Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron and the reigning Miss California, Jackie Cavendar. It was classic, vintage Bob Hope - slightly corny, endearing and delightful. Bill couldn't have been more professional or accommodating. Our audience, which included very senior leadership from both the Army and the Air Force, loved him.

Bill was fantastic to work with and performed great. He is a real delight and I very much enjoyed getting to know him and see him do his Bob Hope routine.
