In every industry, I have a strong desire to share the gospel and its healing power by expressing the truth in love. At the moment, I work as a graduate business professor, outreach pastor, motivational speaker, divorce and women's leadership coach, and writer. In addition, I am Editor in Chief/CEO of IGM Productions, a former president of Selah Logistics, and a contributing writer for Divorce Magazine in London, UK. I hope that by sharing my story and my love for God, I can encourage and inspire others to recognize their true potential and uniqueness. I am available for retreats, book signings, conferences, workshops, and keynote speaking.

Dr. Charis Rooks shares her testimony as a business owner, outreach pastor, speaker, educator, mentor, and author. She has worked with nonprofit organizations, for-profit, and government sectors, among others, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to each. She has experience in the religious, business, academic, medical, publishing, consulting, logistics and transportation industries. Giving God the praise and glory that is due to Him, she recounts numerous instances in which God's hand was instrumental in bringing her to where she is now.
Here are some examples of what she has discussed at previous public speaking engagements:
Inspired By Grace- The uphill battle of earning her doctorate and subsequently navigating the sudden loss of her mother.
Kingdom Writers- The path that led her to become an outreach pastor, writer, speaker, and publisher
A Marriage Restored After Divorce - A decade after filing for divorce, she shares her testimony of how God healed her marriage and family.
My daughter and Chiari - A testimony of how her faith and caregiving were tested when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with a brain malformation and spine diagnosis that has no cure (Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia). She also discusses the invaluable wisdom and life lessons imparted to her by her daughter both before and after she underwent brain surgery.
God Is The Owner and I Am HIS Manager- How God guided her in the formation and management of her businesses, and the lessons she learned along the way.
Titus Grandmother- Her journey of speaking life into her oldest daughter (she was a teen mom) and her grandchild.
Disparaging Walls - Her testimony on growing up in a dysfunctional & abusive home
The Power of Prayer and Healthy Lifestyles - The story of her past and current battles with emotional eating and her successful weight loss of over a hundred pounds.
Sharing the gospel via her testimony and the teachings of God's word has been Dr. Charis Rooks' (often referred to as "Doc") life's work. Her heart's desire as a teacher of the word is to see other Kingdom Writers—both established and aspiring—grow in their faith, get a greater understanding of God's Word, and be more equipped to do what God asks of them. In particular, she feels compelled to help people whose difficulties in life are preventing them from answering their inner call to write. In her heart, Dr. Rooks longs to see God's chosen writers flourish spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically so that they may serve his work in the world via their writings and the expansion of God's kingdom. By sharing her knowledge, passion, and love of writing, she hopes to inspire others to discover the power of their own story and the impact it can have on the world when it is written.
As an Graduate Business/Ministry professor, Dr. Rooks teaches courses in graduate-level business and ministry leadership. Over the years, she has served in a number of ministry roles, such as an outreach pastor, pastoral care member, lay counselor, and coach/trainer for outreach ministry leadership. Her background as a business owner, founder, editor-in-chief, president, and CEO has given her the opportunity to put her faith-driven ideas into writing. These concepts have since launched successful enterprises in the fields of media publication, consultancy, ministry, transportation and logistics. Presently Dr. Rooks serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Inspired Grace Ministries, which is a ministry specifically designed for current and aspiring kingdom writers.
In her free time Doc enjoys spending time with God, her husband, two daughters, grandson, writing the bible by hand, reading, playing the flute, and traveling.
I ask that you allow me to see the space where I am speaking if possible. I like to walk and pray in the area for the participants, attendees, organizers, and ministries. If it is not possible that is no issue its just a something that I like to do before I speak if possible.
