Yo' Sis is a seasoned spoken word artist and visual artist who holds an extensive resumé with a wide range of events, features, and occasions all over the country . She is an active traveling artist who entertains and utilizes her gifts to bring awareness to a variety of topics some of which include domestic violence, foster care, child sex trafficking, and women empowerment. Yo' Sis is a rising star in the poetry world and leaves her mark on the world with her work.
In 2017, Yo' SIS independently toured over 20 US cities from California to Marlyand performing and reading poetry in coffee shops, mega churches, house parties, bars, bonfires, libraries, slams, and any other poetry-friendly venue that would welcome her.
**She was honored at the 9th annual Tamika Festival by spoken word legend, Georgia Me, as an ICON AWARD RECIPIENT.
**She won the G.O.Y. (Grinder of the Year) Award for Poet of the year in December 2016.
**She is a two-time nominee for the Gifted Artists Neo Soul and Poetry Awards. Female Poet of the Year (2016) Rising Start Female Poet (2017).
**She was voted artist of the week at the long-running Indianapolis open mic The Greenhouse Affect in May 2018.

Yo' Sis speaks on a wide spectrum of subjects for a wide variety of audiences. There are times that call for advocacy, times that call for healing or inspiration, and times that just call for a good laugh. Equipped with a dynamic delivery and a no nonsense approach to the truth, she offers a chance to escape the world outside of each piece, long after she speaks the last word.
She has worked with organizations and charities bringing awareness to causes such as domestic violence, women empowerment, and various forms of social injustice. Partnering with Taters4Art, she donatated a collection of artwork to raise funds for Youth Spark in efforts to fight child sex trafficking. She has been formally recognized as an esteemed leader in her community and notes those things as some of her biggest accomplishments. She is the author of Yo' Sista's Keeper, A Collection of Poetry, Short Stories, and Other Stuff, and has recently released her debut poetry album, Sriracha & Sweet Tea.

Acknowledged at an early age for her various artistic abilities, Cassaundra Diane'e was born in Hagerstown, MD by two hard-working teenage parents. She lived most of her childhood in Maryland and visited Georgia on summer vacations with her father. In a fit of rebellion she moved to Georgia as a teenager and has resided there ever since. She considers Georgia home and still has fits of rebellion.
...To change peoples' minds is her mission in life. Writing, painting, and performing are more than mediums to her. They are a display of hope, passion, and liberty. Yo' Sis is not just a poet or painter. She is an experience...a good person with a strange sense of humor and a love for sunshine and chicken biscuits.
