My name is Marzio and I'm an Italian songwriter/musician in Toronto.
My repertoire is based on:
- Italian music: great classics of the 60s-70s (Domenico Modugno, Luigi Tenco, Gino Paoli, Lucio Battisti, Francesco De Gregori, etc.), no contemporary singers, no "juke-box" and no karaoke. My set is quiet, romantic and confidential,
I reinterpret the songs in my style, voice and acoustic guitar.
- Pop-rock classics from the same period (Elvis Presley, Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc.) with forays up to the 80s, with personal re-arrangements of the songs.

What to expect? A soft, sweet and romantic set. Just my voice and a classical guitar: my gig is perfect for a "soundtrack". With my music, you can dance only "cheek to cheek". Or you can dream. For sure, you can chat with the loved one or your friends: I'm never loud. No karaoke, no disco, no noise.
I'm Marzio Pelù, an Italian songwriter, DJ and journalist (anyhow composin' !) based in Toronto ...born in 1970, early on in life I learned to play piano, and also cello lessons. I took a break from music and started again when I was 16-years-old playing piano, guitar and bass, mainly self-taught. At the same time, I began to compose electronic and instrumental music, rock songs with lyrics in English and Italian. I played bass, guitar and lead vocals in many bands: The Bikes and Alter Ego in the end of the 80s, Saskatchewan (1990), Crystal Bell (1990), Trauma ((phone number hidden)5) and Coverin' (1995). From '96 I'm a solo musician and I write songs with lyrics and instrumental music. As a DJ, I worked at Crocodile, Baraonda, Cave, Rm5 and Rsv in Italy. As a journalist, I worked at La Nazione in Italy and now at Corriere Canadese and Canadian National Multilingual News Group - CNMNG in Toronto, Canada. In the evening and in the night, I play my music live, giggin' around in the city's clubs.
