Thank you Cristina for your review and feedback. In response to it, I need to add to it so people get a fuller picture. The show was only 40 minutes, so kids started to lose interest in final 10 minutes. I had planned to do only 30 minutes but brought my guitar and wanted to do a few songs, but probably stretched it too long. Show consisted of a puppet show, 3 songs, juggling and show intro and animals sounds so don't understand how it was poorly executed when you said the puppet show was good and kids did really like it and one girl told me after it was fantastic. That comment means a lot to me for show for them. The out of control comment is misleading. During the show things very in control, but I agree it got out of control during the balloon twisting. But there was 25 to 27 children there. One parent suggested in future give kids a number so we know who is next for balloons. I mismanaged it and children got very impatient, cutting line and once few girls pushing each other to be next. The problem was too many children were invited. With that big a crowd it is very hard to control and I am just one person and an entertainer not a parent. Sadly, some children will be at the end and waiting 30 minutes plus is hard for a 5 year old, but nothing I can do for I had to make 25 plus balloons. Also I stayed 1 hour longer to ensure all the children got balloons and never charged client an extra nickel. Also gave them animal art drawings. I put a lot of time, energy and hard work into this and feel 3 out of 5 is bit low for was there 2.5 hours and worked last hour for free.

In reply to your review, as for being Grumpy, the only time I was, was when a boy tried to hit a girl with his plastic shakers. I warned him not to and he keep on trying to hit her, so I took the shakers away and he cried. Well safety comes first over happiness and he could have badly injured the girl. To further comment, I was a little stressed when I arrived for Sun Run was going on and was re-routed twice for main street closed and had no idea where I was going or if I would arrive on time.

As for the puppet show, I agree with you. 5 political jokes were included to add a bit of fun for the adults. Most were short and tame like " why does a wolf howl under the moon? Because he wants to kiss PM Trudeau/Pres Trump. I also thought 5 year olds would know who the PM is. But in hindsight a mistake I will not repeat. Puppet show was short(10 minutes) for I do a variety show which is 30 minutes. I need to make time for balloons/drawings. I was there an hour as I was hired for.

As to the balloons, I asked all the kids if they wanted balloons and 2 did not want them. If one boy or girl who came late did not get one and they wanted one I was not aware of this. I would never leave without giving balloons to all children.

As for my artwork, I am not a professionally trained artist. My work is cartoonish and most children like them otherwise they would not take them. Many times children said I am good. Not going to stop drawing which I enjoy because of one's person negative opinion. Also reason I do not colour the whole picture is so children can colour the rest which is what they want to do.

Lastly, I charged $120 for this gig and was tipped $30, so client paid $150 for 1 hour. I do not call that cheap. That is a lot for some people. And I really do not understand why I was tipped $30. If client hated the show so much why she tip? Seems like a contradiction to me. If I knew how she felt I would not have taken it.

Thank you Alex for this review. In reply, I like to say I am sorry your little girl was afraid. Because she is so young this happens from time to time, for I am a stranger. I thought I did all I could to try to avoid this by not wearing face paint and playing her favourite song Baa Baa Sheep and some others she'd like. I chose not to come up to her and talk to her, for I thought that may make it worse, so I chose to give her space. As for your impression that I was unfriendly and not smiley, I respect your view. I thought I was friendly and smiley, but perhaps I was not as much as I could have been. I have performed hundreds of shows and perhaps this time it was not my best. I take that to heart and will strive to be much better next time for the next client. As for the balloons, well there were just 8 children and most requested butterflies and dogs. Those balloons are simple looking. I do not do complex balloons creations, but one balloon creations, which perhaps I should have said so before the gig. I can make more appealing balloons like parrots, dinosaurs, reindeer and more. Also I gave the children animal art drawings too which I devote 5 to 10 minutes per drawing on. Not a mention was made of this, but that is what I do also for children and they seem to like them very much.
