We are a talented trio offering a variety of bluegrass, Americana and progressive music. We have performed at venues from quiet music to eat dinner by to birthday parties , rehearsal dinners and bluegrass festivals.
We had an absolute blast pickin’ with Dale, Woody, and Tom for our event! Masterful musicians, courteous, and flexible in the face of a major thunderstorm that caused us to move indoors quickly. Thank you 15 Strings for a memorable afternoon of great music and great memories!

We provide a lively mix of bluegrass and Americana music with a few well known rock tunes bluegrass style. We are more than happy to play requests for guests, to the best of our ability. We can be as casual or dressy as your event requires.
Dale Ferguson
A talented banjo player who is also incredibly skilled on mandolin and guitar. Dale has an extensive musical history including many other bands such as Charlie Thompson & Bottom County Bluegrass and The Grim Pickers, just to name a couple. Dale has a distinctive melodic playing style that demonstrates what a mastered musician he truly is.
Woody Norris
Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, Woody Norris has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old and banjo since he was 12. After experimenting with several different musical genres he has returned to his bluegrass roots. He credits Doc Watson and Tony Rice for influencing his flat-picking style.
He began playing lead guitar with the Spoon Creek Band in 2007 and continues to perform with this long standing traditional bluegrass group. He has added lead and harmony singing to his many talents.
Woody is one of the founding members of Fifteen Strings. Watch his fingers fly on that Martin guitar . . . you will be mesmerized!
Tom Cratty
Tom Cratty was born and raised in Hyattsville, MD, spending his summers in Calvert County, along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. He started playing music when he was 42 years old, learning dobro, then guitar and vocals. He began playing bass at the age of 51. He enjoys listening to Blues, Old Country and Bluegrass. He credits his love of Bluegrass to Flatt & Scruggs and Reno & Smiley.
He began playing guitar with the Jack Tippett Band, then in 2010 joined Spoon Creek, playing the bass. He continues to perform with this long-standing bluegrass group.
Tom is one of the founding members of Fifteen Strings. He has now added electric bass to his repertoire. Come hear them and witness how good he has become as he continues to hone his skills as a bass player and vocalist..
We provide all our own staging and sound equipment. All we ask is to have electricity available.
