We hired 16 Strings to play background music for our cocktail hour and wedding reception. We had a small group and decided to not do any dancing. Having 16 Stings play provided the perfect ambience and really made for a beautiful evening. We absolutely loved it!

They are professional, they set up and began playing as our guests arrived. The music was just what we asked for. My wife and I have had small bands at our parties for years and years, most were quite good. 16 strings last night was the best we have ever had. We will use them again.

The group was profession and prompt for our company Christmas party at a local restaurant. We had around 100 employees and a few impromptu singers that the band kindly accompanied. Highly recommend.

Bandleader Steve Watson is originally from the Chicago area where he attended the Chicago College of the Performing Arts Classical Guitar Program. He later studied jazz guitar in Austin, Texas with noted jazz recording artists Glen Rexach, Clay Moore, and Steve Geraci while performing in many Austin groups. After moving to Salt Lake City in 2016, Steve has performed as lead guitarist in the 16 Strings Jazz Trio.
