The Ringel Jazz Collective consists of two brothers, Evan Ringel on trombone and Lowell Ringel on bass. They have performed with a variety of famous jazz artists, including Grammy-winning musicians such as trumpeter Brian Lynch, drummer Ignacio Berroa, pianist Shelly Berg, and many more. They can perform with a variety of groups, ranging from duo concerts to larger groups with piano, drums, vocalists, and more. They are based in Chapel Hill, but are willing to travel for the right budget. They play jazz, latin, blues, and everything in between. They can perform at any function where jazz is desired. Thanks in advance for supporting the next generation of jazz musicians!
These young men made my event shine with their music! They were well-dressed, courteous and arrived with more than enough time to set up and allow guests to arrive uninterrupted. When it began to rain at our event, they swiftly moved their set-up under a roof without skipping a beat! As the event continued past the cocktail portion, their smooth sounds turned to livelier music perfect for dancing and mingling. I have no doubt they can accommodate to any situation. This group is highly recommended!
We booked this group for our corporate holiday party, and the employees raved about the music. They were easy to work with before the event, and our main contact was especially friendly. The quartet played holiday music that really took our event to the next level. Highly recommended!
This performance was really great. The young men were extremely talented, especially Elijah. They were very professional, and even played a little bit over the amount of time we agreed on because they were having fun. Many of my guests commented to me after the concert about how much they had enjoyed the music. All in all, it was a great party, made even better by a great band.

We could provide either soft background music, which will help set the proper mood for whatever event you desire live music. In this setting, we would take care to not stand out, but simply to play enjoyable music for the patrons of your event. We can also take a more featured role if you desire, playing jazz standards, originals if requested, and songs from the American Songbook. All of our songs will groove and provide a pleasant addition to the event.

We need space to play but other than that we will provide all of our own equipment. We also will need access to electricity unless you have an acoustic piano.

We play jazz, blues, and Latin standards, utilizing interesting arrangements and the full jazz vocabulary to create music. Our lack of a drummer allows us to switch rhythmic feels flawlessly, along with creating complete rhythmic freedom. Our instrumentation also allows us to play quieter and in smaller spaces for perfoirmances where background music is requested.
