Alexander is a guitarist/singer with a wide range of repertoire to pull from. He does covers in a variety of genres, original folk/rock music, ambient music, instrumental improvisation, and children's music. Alexander also has a rotating group of band members that he play with regularly that can be brought in depending on the needs of the performance. Alexander is based in New York City but is available to travel further for gigs at an additional rate.
Alex came in early, waited until all my guests had arrived, played every song requested wonderfully and managed to learn a song in less than 5 minutes! Alexander Walk is a singer/songwriter/actor hailing from Queens, NYC. Alexander began his career as an artist at a very young age, as a way to cope with trauma and the difficulties of life. He became engrossed in all aspects of the art world and by elementary school, was already writing music and performing in school plays. Alexander was later accepted into the LaGuardia Arts “Fame” high school where he continued to pursue his passion until eventually graduating and deciding to attend Berklee College of Music. After graduating Berklee with a degree in Recording, Production, and Songwriting, Alexander returned home to NYC where he is now working full time as an artist.
Alexander has performed at numerous notable venues including the Shubert Theater on Broadway, Summerstage in Central Park, and Rockwood Music Hall to name a few. Alexander was also awarded an Honorable Mention in Theater by the National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists in 2019. Alexander has performed for crowds upwards of 3000 people and has had his music streamed over 100,000 times. Alexander continues his artistic endeavors in other fields as well, most recently having done voiceover work for the film A Crime on the Bayou which has been screened at numerous film festivals including DOC NYC and the New Orleans Film Festival. Alexander has also had a chance to perform and work alongside many incredibly talented people including Marc Rebillet, Michael Che, Colin Jost, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ava Mccoy, and Lonely Pirate Committee.

Alexander’s music is influenced by a wide variety of artists including Alex G, Fink, Big Thief, Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, John Mayer, and the Stone Temple Pilots. Of all of these artists though, Alexander has been most greatly influenced by Glen Hansard who he views as a large reason that he started making music in the first place. Alexander saw the play Once on Broadway which was written by and featured Glen’s music. After seeing the play, he was floored and he began to discover what Glen and his music were all about.
