I know some people hire musicians at churches for some services somewhat blindly, and whenever I attend such services, I find myself disappointed that the singer does not live up to expectations, and with a sentimental or memorable experience such as a wedding or funeral, you don't want to ruin the moment with a terrible singer. So, I can gladly say I'm not the ancient old church lady who's voice matches her appearance and title, and I'm also not a middle school girl who got a solo in a chorus concert and thinks I'm suddenly qualified to advertise my "services". I do have 4 years of classical training under my belt, and il getting more over my next 4 years. Im also very flexible. If classical isn't your style, I have experience in acoustic-coffee shop-esque performances, as well as musical theater, and opera. I'm really open and willing to cater to you for the occasion at hand.
The only thing is, I don't accompany myself. I'm definitely not qualified or comfortable in doing so at this point in my life. So I usually work with someone at the church or performance facility who plays piano, or I could provide someone for myself, assuming that person/people were also compensated for their services.
It really depends on the occasion, just talk to me for details, I'm always willing to learn new music or delve into my rep.
