We are a four-person band including vocals, guitar, sax/flute, and bass. We play mostly jazz standards, although we are open to playing a mix of music depending on what you need.

We play swing, latin, and bossa jazz with some blues thrown in. We can play relaxing mood music, upbeat dance music, or follow a theme and engage the audience. Depending on the event, we can mix it up and do all of the above! Let us know what you want and we will work with you to make your event successful!
Amanda Fox and the Hounds began in 2013, started by four musicians in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Since we all have experience singing and playing jazz, we are starting out with jazz standards and increasing our repertoire as we go. We are open to playing a variety of music, including reggae and other genres besides jazz. With enough lead time, we would be willing to work out a playlist based on what you want at your event or venue.
Each of us has at least several years experience playing in bands, and we can provide our own sound equipment. We are happy to play indoors or outdoors, as long as there is a plan in place for inclement weather.
We can provide sound equipment such as a PA system, mics, stands, and amps. We can also adjust our group size as necessary for the size and mood of the event or venue. We can play as a duo (vocals/guitar, sax/guitar, etc) or up to five members (by adding a drummer); let us know what arrangement works best for you.
Most of our list includes popular jazz standards such as "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Girl from Ipanema", but we also play newer songs such as Nora Jones' "Don't Know Why". Our list is always growing, so please contact us if you'd like to know if we can play a specific song or genre of music.
