Ampersand

Ampersand plays a generally energetic mix of music from many different genres and generations. The band is very flexible and willing to tailor their set to accommodate a more relaxed atmosphere, as well as acoustic performances. Ampersand always strives to put on a clean, family friendly show that features something for everyone in the audience regardless of age or musical taste.

Ampersand is a band led by Luke Meeker (Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist), accompanied by his wife Samantha (bass/keys), and Luke's father Hal (drums). Luke and Hal have been playing music together for over 8 years, playing a wide variety of music from many different genres and generations. Luke and Sam were married in 2014, and the trio started practicing as a band in 2015, playing their first gig together at a close friend's wedding reception.
They continue to play a wide variety of covers spanning many generations and genres, as well as some originals that also vary greatly in style.

The band has enough equipment for a basic live setup if necessary, however we greatly prefer that the client provide a PA system capable of handling input from vocal microphones as well as microphones placed on amplifiers to allow greater control by the sound technician over volume and sound quality.
We have our own sound tech available if the client is unable to provide one.
Stage monitors also seriously help us to put on a good show.
The better we can hear ourselves and each other, the better the result will be.
