Angelique Lucero

Angelique Lucero is a Native American singer-songwriter, a self-promoting touring artist, and a promotional model. At a young age, Angelique had a calling to compose music; with every life lesson that time brought her came a new song.
At San Jose State University, Angelique majored in Music and took advantage of every opportunity that came her way. One area of study was audio production; Angelique collaborated with her professor and recorded her first single Daydream. With years of choral experience, she challenged herself to learn the art of instrumental conducting and had the opportunity to conduct the orchestra at SJSU and obtain the honorable role of assistant director for the musical Legally Blonde. While on the traveling improv team at SJSU, Angelique often used her talents to be the subject for case studies in the Psychology department. Viewing the stimulation, students would assess her “diagnosis” in another room viewing on live-streaming tv’s.
During her time of study, she taught voice lessons to the youth through Willow Glen School of Music and shortly after began booking her own clients. Angelique invested time in the study of music therapy and traveled to several schools of disabilities through The Arts Initiative program. This required her to accommodate each child’s individual needs. Most recently Angelique was given the opportunity to volunteer as head coach for The Gilroy Browns in the spring of 2019. With eleven years of experience in competitive cheerleading, Angelique hopes to be a role model to her younger niece who is now a cheerleader.
Angelique became recognized by South Valley Magazine as the Sidewalk Serenade. After Sunday leading worship service, Angelique would perform downtown Santa Cruz which led to more opportunities. In 2019 Angelique played a total of 53 shows, festivals, and private events.
Recently Angelique found herself in an audition that took her to Los Angeles for filming which postponed her graduation date but ultimately gave her the opportunity to gain exposure. Continuing to pursue her dream to live in “music city,” Angelique will reside in Nashville, TN. as of March 10th, 2020. Her studies of music will continue at Belmont University in Fall 2020.

I do prefer to have good lighting, stage lights are fun (but most definitely not required), sound can be executed with some nice speakers for a larger venue however I can provide a large speaker on a big tripod.
