We play an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Jazz, Gospel, Tin Pan Alley, Folk, and Country music
These guys were amazing, on time, quick set-up and so professional. They are all professional musicians by trade... Matt and the band did a variety of American style music - which was so perfect for our group. They did our Rehearsal dinner where we were meeting our German new in-laws for the very first time. We had about 40 people there with 20 plus Germans and they loved it as well. It was worth every penny, as music is a universal language and they were already interested in the Appalachian culture. It was so fun to kick off our weekend with music, food, fun and laughter. Thank you again Appalachian Stringband for a perfect night!!

You can expect to have a fun time, hearing some songs you know, and having as much or as little interaction with the band as you want. For some gigs, we may just play the whole time, for another, we sit down and eat fried fish with the family. Our priority is that you enjoy yourself!
The Appalachian Stringband consists of four to six singers and instrumentalists (depending on the gig needs and our schedules). We play bluegrass and gospel music, but we also branch out into jazz, Tin Pan Alley, and other styles as well.
We either play/sing totally acoustic or into a sound system, depending on the size of the venue.
