We were so happy to have the quintet perform at our summer music series! The variety of music they played was great, and we enjoyed the history behind the songs, as well!
We are looking forward to having them back next summer! Highly recommend!!
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thanks Shelly! What a great audience you guys were! See you soon!
The Band was one of the opening events for our town's annual celebration. They created such a festive atmosphere, it made the celebration so special. I would love to have them come every year.
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thank you Sarah! We had a blast performing for you. It was a nice bonus to meet your family!
The Armstrong Blvd Brass Quintet played at our library for the first time and the response from patrons was fantastic! The band's choice in music brought back good memories for some and for others, they truly enjoyed having something unique and wonderful take place inside their library. The mix of jokes/banter, plus the history behind each song, before they played the song, was an added bonus. I would recommend these guys to anyone!
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thanks Jeremy! We had a blast playing at the Taylor Library!
We had a fabulous Christmas music event last evening at the Dyckman Free Library which was enjoyed by young and old! The variety of music decades represented appealed to everyone, little ones were dancing and adults were tapping along! Along with the wonderful brass music there were entertaining stories behind the songs. "Excellent Program" and "These guys are fantastic" were some of the comments we received.
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Lisa! Thanks for being such a fantastic host! We'll come play anytime you'd like to have us back!
These guys are Awesome! Our community so enjoyed their Christmas concert performed this past Friday. The humor and history added just the right touch to make this performance unforgettable. Thank you, Armstrong Boulevard, for getting us all in the Christmas spirit. Highly recommend!
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thanks Linda! We loved performing for you all! The warm crowd and hospitality in Springfield was excellent and the Christmas cookies were fantastiche!
As a resident of Parkview Manor I had the opportunity recently to hear the music of The Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet. The hour long outdoor concert of patriotic tunes was uplifting, inspiring and quite enjoyable. Leading the group was Dave, the trombone player, who introduced each member of the quintet and with a short story of the music they played. We at Parkview Manor hope the quintet returns again soon to entertain us with energetic tunes.
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thank you so much, Robert! We had a great time playing at Parkview Manor. Such a welcoming audience with water and delicious ice cream! Fun was had by all and, importantly, we are so happy you found our music inspirational! 'Til we meet again!
The quintet brought a wonderfully festive air to our event, with Dave's commentary between the songs adding humor and insight to the occasion. Highly recommend!
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thank you! We had so much fun helping to break in the new patio event area.
This great group provided an afternoon of holiday music. Not only did they play music, they brought humor and history to the show. All the attendees absolutely loved this group - in fact they want them back this summer! You won't be disappointed with the performance.
The residents loved the their performance. Highly recommend these guys to any senior living facility looking to book entertainment for the afternoon
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
The residents at The Pillars were super fun! They were laughing and singing along to our songs. They made OUR day! See you again soon!
Thank you for playing! We received many compliments on the quintet, and it was especially meaningful for our family and our memories of playing brass music with our father. You all sounded wonderful and really made the ceremony feel like a celebration! Best, Laura
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:

I attended the dedication of the new St. James Area Veterans Memorial and heard the Armstrong Brass play. It was great to hear them play patriotic songs and sing along as they performed the Star spangled Banner.
Response from Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet:
Thank you, Steve! I'm glad you enjoyed the event. We were proud to be a part of it!

In concert: you will see us in formal wear and observe a traditional concert experience.
At parties: The ABBQ will interact with the audience in a more casual manner. We may roam through the audience, tell jokes, etc.
At County Fairs or Town Festivals: You will experience a diverse mix of music to appeal to most anyone in the crowd.
At Church Services, Weddings, Memorials, Funerals: The ABBQ provides musical support perfectly fit to your needs in the mood and manner appropriate to the occasion.

The Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet was founded in 2015 to provide music for events held at the Viet Nam Traveling Wall Memorial during its southern Minnesota tour that year. The group is comprised of five professional brass players each with over 30 years of performance experience who love the versatility and the variety that performing as a brass quintet provides. Baroque, Classical, Movie and TV Themes, Romantic, Renaissance, Rock, Jazz, and Pop. We play it all!
Custom Arrangements: requested arrangements are possible for an additional fee.
**ABBQ requests at least 3 months notice when requesting a custom arrangement to insure a quality product for your event or celebration.***
Sound: ABBQ generally performs without amplification. A narration microphone is helpful for crowds over 100 or in open spaces. Please advise if ABBQ needs to provide its own sound system.
Lighting: Area needs to be well lit. Please advise if ABBQ needs to bring its own light source.
Set Length: ABBQ gives the best performance when we can present 45 minutes sets with a 15 or 20 minute break after each set. Longer or all day performances will require longer breaks (depending on repertoire) to ensure a quality performance throughout the entire day.
