Bob is a total pro with a great presence and desire to make the event meaningful. And he is such a friendly guy- easy to get along with and completely down to earth

He was welcomed and enjoyed by all. Our North Italian ladies (some born there-others are descendants), were reminded of a childhood tradition in the Alps. The younger members were reminded of Christmas traditions in their heritage. He was very friendly and patient. It was a real treat.

Bob was professional and the event went off without a hitch. We could not have been more please. A proper send off for our dad.

Bob was great to work with - responded quickly to correspondence, arrived early, played wonderfully and added just the touch of class to our Connor’s Way Run/Walk event yesterday!

We hired Bob for my Dads funeral. My Dad had always said he wanted bagpipes at his service. We were beyond pleased with Bob, we let him play what he thought was appropriate and he did an amazing job. We had so many compliments, it truly made the service special.

Bob played marvelously at my Fathers funeral, At the end of the service, the organist started with Amazing Grace, and then from the back of the church the erupting sound of bagpipes continued the tune... It was a moving experience. It was a pleasure to hear his playing - he is highly recommended.

Bob did an excellent job. My Father would have thoroughly enjoyed his playing ! My sisters and I felt that Dad, being an AOH member and a singer of Irish songs, we needed a bagpiper at his funeral for his send off. I found Bob online and booked him on short notice. Bob worked with the music director at St Paul’s Church, was there on time. Leaving the church, Bob played Amazing Grace. His music was perfect as was his attire. He later stood out side as the church emptied and played more.

Bob did a great job playing for the seniors of Brookdale Manlius. He was personable with the residents while staff were gathering everyone outside. Bob's song selection was perfect for the event. We definitely recommend Bob Flynn and would hire him again.

Bob was outstanding from stat to finish. Comminication prior to the event was excellent. He whethered the storm (literally - we had hail for a few minutes and he played on!) I would highly recommend Bob and would / will certainly use him again in the future...

We booked Bob to play at my husband’s funeral. Bob was professional and very solicitous. He was available at short notice - and he even went above and beyond to come to the burial site and play there as well. I will definitely book him in the future- hopefully for a celebration.

Mr Flynn did an absolutely wonderful job adding something very special to our memorial. Communication was spot on, and all collaboration of ideas, plan, et cetera ran like a fine oiled machine. Highly recommended. Well done.

The piper did a great job he came to the funeral home and played for my dad amazing Grace. He also played as my father was put into the Hearst. And he came to the cemetery also and played. It made the whole funeral special my dad would be proud and I’m sure he was saluting him!!

We had to cancel a family member’s 70th birthday party due to Covid 19 and I wanted to make the day special for her. She loves bagpipes so I found Bob Flynn on gigsalad and arranged for him to play Happy Birthday and a several Scottish tunes on the dock at our lake cottage. Bob responded right away to all communication and was very professional and pleasant to work with. His playing was terrific. Not only did my family member love it, but all the neighbors around the lake did too! Thank you for making this milestone birthday so very special.

He was at the church before we got there; stayed for the Mass so our beloved Mom was piped in AND out of the church and when I went up to him after to introduce myself he volunteered to accompany us to the cemetery. He was amazing. I would encourage anyone to feel comfortable to reserve this piper! Awesome 😎

Bob Flynn does more than just play the bagpipes He educates people about the instrument and some of the songs that he plays. He takes requests and you can tell that he enjoys performing. This is the second time we have hired Bob Flynn. I highly recommend him.

I hired Bob for a family member who was planning the funeral of her
husband and she lived several states away. Not exactly a festive occasion.
There were several special requests and I found Bob to be MORE than tolerant. He is extremely professional, punctual
and has a sense of humor to boot (even dressed in wool on an 83 degree day)
What more can you ask for? I only hope to
hire him again under more upbeat circumstances.

I hired Bob as a surprise wedding present for my wife at our wedding ceremony. (Yeah that alone was stressful). Bob gave me some good ideas of the music to play for the entrance of the wedding party, the bride and the recessional at the end. He also played for abut 15 minutes while we thanked our guests for coming. He did a great job of hiding from the bride to be at our outdoor wedding. Only problem was the bride was so focused on the wedding and her vows that she didn't even notice until the recessional. Her reaction when she finally realized what was happening was priceless. Bob then stayed for a few minutes so we could get pictures with him. I only regret I didn't think to invite him to the reception, not because I wanted him to play more but because I should have done more to say thank you. Well, well worth the money. Thank you Bob for playing such a great role in our wedding.

Bob Flynn did a great job for us at our father's funeral. After requesting a quote through gigsalad, we discussed details through email. He had very nice suggestions of what songs he might play and how he could play both before and after the mass and then at the cemetery at a brief graveside ceremony. He also with the songs I requested and played them as well. He was pleasant, helpful and his bagpiping was lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to have him to another event.
Until now, I had never used the gigsalad site, went very smoothly.

He called and made sure everything was set. He played all the requested songs. He played along with the surprise for my wife's birthday party and even called and came back and forth a few times to make sure the surprise worked.

The sounds of the bagpipe echoing over the Seneca river was beautiful.
He did a wonderful job and I suggest YOU hire him too.

I hired Bob to play at my mom's memorial service this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful. He was very professional and respectful to our family and was very easy to work with. If there can be a highlight to my mom’s burial service his playing was surely it. I know my mother would have appreciated it as she so loved the bagpipes.
