We hired Bela to play guitar at our intimate wedding in Provincetown. He is a nice guy and was very easy to work with and he played great music. He played a mix of new and old songs and that filled the room with wonderful spirit. I recommend him!

Bela is a kind, intelligent and experienced musician. He called me several times in advance of the wedding to make sure he knew every detail of exactly what we wanted. The bride wanted gentle guitar music as an alternative to loud organ music. Something ethereal, but with a slightly modern twist. Then, Bela arrived early at the old gothic church, guitar in hand, and made it all come true.

As people filed into the church, Bela began to play some of the most gentle, romantic, songs in his repertoire. One of the songs we chose was "In My life" by the Beatles and afterwards my young nephew commented that he really liked the inclusion of more modern songs. Then Bela switched to Cannon in D for my daughter's quietly dramatic entrance. A good friend of mine burst into tears! I'm sure that Bela's musical magic was part of what brought all those emotions to the fore. And then, especially for us, Bela had worked up "Bridal March" for the couple's exit.

Later, the Sarkozy trio delighted everyone at the cocktail hour, really adding fizz and energy to the event. There is nothing like real, live entertainment. It was great to be able to interact with the band, and they were so friendly and kind. Their jazzy repertoire was especially appropriate in the vintage hotel where our event was held.

They arrived extra early for set up and were very professional in dress and demeanor. The music was exactly what we were looking for and they sounded great. No need for setting up a set list or anything which made the day so much less stressful. I would definitely hire them again for future events!!

My wife and I hired Bela’s Trio for a small (post Covid) party to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. What a pleasure to hear live music! The trio played a wonderful selection of Jazz standards (and a few special requests) with some great solos. While the music was intended to be “background” entertainment, many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band.

The Bela Sarkozy Trio was hired to perform their smooth and unique jazz sounds for an outside audience. The weather cooperated and the music was creative and soothing with just the right amount of swing! We were surprised with a vocalist who sang her heart out and added a lovely flare to the songs she participated in within the 2 hours. The instrumentals were one of the best I've heard in a long time. The group that hired the Trio have heard nothing but rave reviews from the people who attended the event. One gentleman told us that to have come to this concert was the best way he had ended any work day in several years!

We had a lovely, intimate upscale wedding at Wequassett Resort. Bela was the perfect choice for us as we are big jazz/standards enthusiasts. His solo renditions of these songs were beautiful, well played and full sounding while being unobtrusive- perfect for our small setting. This jazz trio was wonderful at our son's Bar Mitzvah. The music was beautiful and just the right volume for our guests to have conversation. They were all very professional, punctual, polite and were able to accommodate special requests that I had prior to the engagement.

I wrote a glowing report this morning and it went poof! I don't mind re writing about it since we were all so very pleased with Bela's playing; I very seldom, if ever, have said or written the following sentence: "...it exceeded our expectations..." but there you have it. It did. Our daughters were especially pleased and that made me so happy. Bela is a musician with the sensitivity to "read" the room and adjust; I felt that he was a friend to us all and that he wanted our elegant, subdued, intimate event to be just that and we are thankful because it made for a memorable evening. I selected Bela Sarkozy based on his performance in a clip on this site. He didn't disappoint, either personally or professionally. My wife and I were undecided regarding starting time and how long we wanted him to play, but Bela was always flexible and met our needs. His answers to our phone calls and emails were always timely. He came early, giving him, his bass player and drummer time to set up (in tight quarters) and started playing exactly on time. The music was exactly what I wanted: mostly standards with some contemporary numbers as well, more than musical wallpaper -- contributing to the atmosphere without dominating it. As a musician, Bela is superb, this from an oboist who has played in orchestras and chamber groups for a long time. And his prices are very fair. The next time we have a party like this, Bela is out go-to guy.

The Bela Sarcozy Trio played at an intimate (30-person) dinner party we had at a private home. They were timely, professional, amenable to requests, and, most of all, very talented. Their beautiful music provided the exact, perfect ambiance we had been looking for... not too loud or overpowering, not too boring or "elevator-music-y." Just perfect. Lovely jazz.

What I hear when I listen to The Bela Sarkozy Trio performing these numbers is stellar talent and professionalism. The twists on the standards are flavored by Mr. Sarkozy’s gypsy soul which renders them fresh and provocative. His original compositions are outstanding. I have had the opportunity to see the trio live and I have also had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Sarkozy play solo gigs; every performance was a delight.

Excellent tunes, smooth guitar playing, and perfect volume level! It's great to hear a band that doesn't blast you out of the venue. You can relax and enjoy the show and your company. I also enjoy their mix of jazz standards and original songs. Good for a romantic evening out.

Bela, I cut my teeth on Jazz.....and the first time I heard your guitar, I thought I was listening to Joe Pass!!! I LOVE the quietness, the tempo, especially the second chorus...you jazz it up a bit! :)

The Bela Sarkozy Trio was a fine addition to our habitat for Humanity gala. the music was elegant and sophisticated. the musicians were very flexible in tailoring their performances to the timing and needs of our evening.
