I selected Bela Sarkozy based on his performance in a clip on this site. He didn't disappoint, either personally or professionally. My wife and I were undecided regarding starting time and how long we wanted him to play, but Bela was always flexible and met our needs. His answers to our phone calls and emails were always timely. He came early, giving him, his bass player and drummer time to set up (in tight quarters) and started playing exactly on time. The music was exactly what I wanted: mostly standards with some contemporary numbers as well, more than musical wallpaper -- contributing to the atmosphere without dominating it. As a musician, Bela is superb, this from an oboist who has played in orchestras and chamber groups for a long time. And his prices are very fair. The next time we have a party like this, Bela is out go-to guy.
