Belinda travels pretty light. You'll get her + 1-2 guitars + 1 electric piano (if necessary) + iPod. Performs mostly covers of 90's Acoustic Pop to today's radio-friendly Pop, with a few classic covers thrown in by Sam Cooke, Carole King, Eric Clapton, etc. or even a few children's songs if that's appropriate... will be a pretty eclectic mix of coffee house style acoustic songs. She is comfortable being background music, the center of attention, or anything in between.

Belinda is a singer/songwriter from the Washington DC Area with lyrics recognized by "American Songwriter Magazine" and original music featured on "Women Of Substance Radio and Podcast." With an assortment of musical influences such as Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Freddie Mercury, Sarah McLachlan, Gavin DeGraw, and the late Chris Cornell, her style is best described as Adult Contemporary Pop with a mix of Alt Rock and a touch of Soul.

Named after Belinda Carlisle, solo artist and lead singer for The Go-Gos, making music has always been second nature to Belinda M. Growing up in a household that was largely influenced by Filipino culture, it was impossible for her to avoid belting out a few tunes into a karaoke mic at an early age. After her parents discovered she could play piano by ear at age 4, lessons promptly began. She later started writing poetry and playing guitar, which eventually lead to her becoming a singer/songwriter. Her lyrics have been recognized by “American Songwriter Magazine” and her music is featured on the award-winning “Women Of Substance Radio and Podcast.”

Belinda loves to play in small, intimate venues where she can connect with her audience. Her music is about honesty and heart, so the best way to share the energy of her performance is in a place where she has the opportunity to speak with those she is performing for either on or off stage.

If you've got sound equipment, great! I can plug and play. Otherwise, I'll need to rent the appropriate equipment for your venue size, which is usually covered by a couple nice 10" speakers since I'm a small venue performer anyway.

I don't require a "stage" exactly, just a nice stable area where I can setup. Indoors or Outdoors is fine, as long as the weather permits. No special lighting requirements, I just need to be able to see and be seen.
