Villalón is coloratura mezzo-soprano with over 10 years of classical vocal training, and has experience with piano, acting, and guitar.
In 2011 she was awarded a scholarship to the Phoenix Conservatory of Music (PCM), in conjunction with the Berklee City Music Network Program. She was awarded the scholarship again in 2012 and 2013. This provided her with her educational opportunities in music theory, music business, music production, and the Berklee Pulse online program. Her involvement in PCM provided her performance opportunities as part of Jazz, Rock, and R&B ensembles and as a featured soloist.
In 2013 she was accepted to the Anúna International Choral Summer School (Ireland's National Choir) which took place in Dublin, Ireland. This event was attended by vocalists from twelve countries.
That same year Villalón was awarded a full scholarship to Boston’s Berklee College of Music Five Week Summer Performance Program where she furthered her studies in Pop, R&B, Gospel, music theory, performance, musicianship, and songwriting. Berklee is regarded as the world’s most prestigious institution for the study of contemporary music with students from more than 70 countries and has produced more Grammy Award winners than any other institution.
In 2014, Villalón was again awarded a full merit scholarship to Boston’s Berklee College of Music Five Week Summer Performance Program. In addition, Villalón was awarded academic and music scholarships to eight other universities for her undergraduate studies.
Villalón attended Nashville's Belmont University, School of Music for music therapy and vocal performance and is currently attending Grand Canyon University for Sociology and Social Work.
