Belle Musique

FUNERAL:
A typical funeral or memorial service that is musically provided by Belle Musique with all the "bells and whistles" begins before the service with Charissa playing prelude music from a genre of choice (Classical, Pop; etc.) from the organ or piano. The service then starts off with the Big Ben chime rung from the bells. This is a perfect non-verbal way to get everyone's attention. After opening remarks and/or prayer, Belle Musique can play a handbell piece chosen from our song list. Next, there is usually a poem, message and eulogy. After, Erin can sing a requested song with piano or guitar accompaniment. At this point, the service comes to a close in prayer and dismissal. Charissa plays postlude music from organ or piano for about 10 minutes and the service is concluded.

Having live music at your loved one's service is a special way to honor them and the guests who have come to pay their respects. Everyone will indeed remember the beautiful music provided on this day!

*If playing for a non religious service, the same applies, just omit references to prayers.

WEDDING:
Some of the special ways the wedding bells can be featured at your wedding are by having Belle Musique set up near the guest book station. As guests arrive and sign the book, poster or other form of capturing guest's well wishes, the wedding bells can be playing our songs as listed in the set list section. The Big Ben Chime can be rung as a start to the ceremony and a wonderful/non-verbal cue to get everyone's attention. Another way to showcase the bells is at the very end of the service when the married couple is announced to the world for the first time, the wedding bell blessings can be ringing over the couple as they exit the venue and are ushered away to the next location.

Erin and Charissa both have vast experience as working musicians; especially in Church Music. For more than 20 years they have both held positions in Church Music Ministry; worship leader, organist, pianist, choir director, soloist. They met singing in an LA based caroling company in 2012.

Erin put together a new musical offering with the handbells 10 years ago. 4 years later Charissa asked if she could join and has been a part of Belle Musique ever since. Together they have played for funerals, weddings and Christmas events all over the Southern California area and even into Arizona and Nevada!

They both especially enjoy bringing their experience, skills and talents to the funeral/memorial/celebration of life services to comfort those in need. And being the real life "Wedding Bells" at someone's wedding is the best!!!

Because Belle Musique offers so many different types of musical choices, we take care of bringing our Handbells, tables and tablecloths as well as the guitar if requested BUT can only offer piano and organ if the facility/venue has these provided (like at a mortuary, church or wedding venue). We are 100% responsible for arriving early to set our equipment up and will take it all down at the conclusion of the service.
