Hello, my name is Benjamin Gauthier, but everyone calls me BenJammin. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University and was a member of University Choral, Gold Company Jazz Program and Phi Mu Alpha music service fraternity. As part of my k-8 teaching certification, I wrote songs to help kids learn about health, hygiene, confidence/community building, and core subjects through interactive music. These became the core of my program. It so happens that when we connect knowledge with interactive music, it connects to our brain quite quickly. Now, together, we use hand drums, guitar, ukulele, piano, drumsticks, stories and a few puppets to teach children life skills through audience participation and song.
For performances we to have the stage space available minimum 1 hour before the performance for setup.
We always have our own sound systems, but we are always appreciative of a sound person. For larger venues, 300+, we'd expect a sound person to be provided.
The stage should be accessible to all kids as children are regularly invited onto the stage.
