Big John Small is a CLEAN comic. He's been making people laugh since he was a little kid. John is a radio broadcaster with a syndicated radio show that's on about 300 radio stations. His humor is super clean and "safe for work", but still very relatable and funny. He's comfortable performing for audiences of all sizes (has entertained a few people who showed up on "comedy night" at a bar... to over 1500 people at a big corporate gig)
John is a Christian and even took courses for 2 years to become an ordained minster. He is not "CHURCHY" at all, but is very comfortable in front of an audience at a church!
Most of John's jokes are actual fun stories about things he and his family have done.
John had great communication leading up to our event, he was on time and extremely professional.
However, while his content was clean, it did not seem to interest our high school aged group. He was a great storyteller, but the stories lacked a punchline. A lot of self- defamation stories. Our crowd was not interested, and he lost them almost immediately.

I will be sure to focus on booking comedy events that are more age appropriate.
My comedy is more self deprecating because I do not feel comfortable making anyone else the butt of a joke in this day and age.

His humor is very much "storytelling" style. John will keep it clean and will do his best to relate to the audience, whether it's a small bar crowd or a large corporate event. John is comfortable either way.
He will always keep it clean... and can even do "church clean" if that's needed.
Big John Small is from a big family in small town in South Dakota. He has two brothers and three sisters. He grew up poor but nobody told him. John began making people laugh as a child. Probably to get some attention in that giant family.
He found his calling as a radio announcer and started working as a DJ in high school. From part time announcer to owning his own AM & FM radio station, John has had a blast in that field. He and his wife host a radio show that is syndicated on about 300 radio stations. The show airs six days a week and they do their best to keep people smiling.
John takes many of these fun stories to the stage.
John can bring his own sound system and lights (if needed) or would be happy to use the system in place
