Billy and the Barn Kats is a cover band that plays many of the well known rockabilly songs as well as some of the lesser known songs. Our band seeks out the versions of the songs as they were played by the original artists. We currently have over 100 songs in our repertoire and we are constantly adding new songs.
We currently play songs from Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, The Beach Boys, Stray Cats, The Go-Go's, Johnny Horton, Carl Perkins, Ronnie Self, Sid King, and many others.
Billy and the Barn Kats like to play for all groups, but we especially love to play for crowds that love to dance and have a great time.
Billy and The Barn Kats provided music for our 16th annual car show and shine. They were very attentive to our wants and adapted to our needs. They not only entertained and helped us with announcements, but engaged the audience on a level that kept everyone in great spirits. We want them back next time.
Price Range: $400 - $600
Gig Length: 180 - 240 minutes
Languages: English, French
We typically play 4 sets that are one hour each. The band typically takes a short break every hour and then returns to playing. The band loves to play music and entertain a crowd. We attempt to interact with the audience members as much as they are willing to interact and participate. We typically prepare up to 80 songs for each event and order them as they would fit best. If there are specific song requests that a client would like us to preform, we would need that information in advance to confirm that we already have that music, or to prepare it in advance.
Billy and the Barn Kats started in 2011 with four members; Tim Cox (guitar and vocals), Nick Testi (guitar and vocals), Andrea Testi (String Bass and vocals), and Jerri Lisk (drums and vocals). Jerri left the band in 2012 to pursue other artistic interests. That is when Andy Creech joined the band. He plays drums and sings vocals. In 2013 Tim moved away and open up a place for Ryan Smith to join the band.
We play for private parties, community events, and weddings. We also play regularly at local pubs. We are from the Treasure Valley.
