The best in Classic Rock
Be the first to review Blue Maggie Classic Rock
Price Range: $500 - $2,000
Blue Maggie beganwith Blue Maggie Bluegrass and Americana a couple decades ago in West Virginia. Blue Maggie's music was and is still being sold on a world wide basis and still enoys getting airplay in several countries. Blue Maggie played numerous festivals and shows in the South East, the first being Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Kentucky.
That success inspired Blue Maggie's creators, Cheryl Smith Patrick and Richard Patrick to add Classic Rock as a seperate genre.
About the members
Cheryl has been highly praised for her writing and vocal talents which are second to none. Her vocal is soft and pleasing and known to pull in the listerner rather than just being words to fill in a space. She can handle anything from mountain music to the hardest of rock with ease and style.
Richard plays upright and electric bass and has done rock for over 40 years. His bass style is unique in that he makes the bass a true part of the song often replacing rythm guitar.
Once off the ground and running with the Classic Rock show COVID hit and slowed things down. After a few live shows Cheryl and Richard made the decision to move to Florida where there is more opportunity for live performers. Blue Maggie's lead player at the time who was originally from Florida was to follow, however and sadly, was a victim to COVID.
Blue Maggie has been joined by two of the finest musicians on guitar and drums.
Kurt Russell on guitar whose lead and rythm guitar style and skills fit well with Blue Maggie's vision. Kurt is not only excellent on guitar but also very serious about every note on his lead breaks and every strum of his rythm playing.
Terri Britt then joined. A proffessional drummer by any standards who made his mark playing up and down the California Coast in the 70's and 80's and has studied with some of the greatest proffessional drummers in the California music scene at the time.
Unlike most piece together in a hurry bands, Blue Maggie has worked nearly a year with Cheryl, Richard, Kurt and Terri honing thier sound and putting together a show that people will love.
