Blues in a Blender was wonderful! Not only did they play non-stop great tunes, but they even kindly mingled with our family/friends crowd and kept the crowd interacting with their performance. Throughout the night, we had friends and family coming up to us asking “Where did you find this band?!”, “They are SO amazing!” Thank you for making our event complete and keeping the people dancing! We highly recommend them and would gladly welcome them back for our next event.
The booking process with Matt was super smooth. His crew provided sound, lights, and an incredible jam experience for the party. They went above and beyond what we hoped for. Can't wait to see them again!

Blues in a Blender played a great set. They have great energy that is matched by their great knowledge of how the Dead play. It was an awesome experience and we are Grateful to have had them for a night.

Thanks so much Jason! We had a blast and glad to hear you all did as well.
I hired MHB for my husband's 40th birthday party! They were easy to work with and quick to respond to any question I had for them before the event. I hired their 3 piece band: singer/guitarist, bass guitarist and drummer. They arrived with plenty of time to setup before the event and played a variety of music that was perfect for a fun and energetic party. I would definitely hire them again!

Response from Blues in a Blender:
Thanks, Carolyn! It was an absolute pleasure playing for your husband's special day. Everyone was very accommodating and cool to play for! We love when people are dancing and having fun. Thanks again!
These guys were a hit at our neighborhood block party! They were entertaining and had people of all ages up and dancing until the final minutes of the block party! I would highly recommend them for any event! Great music, polite, and extremely professional!
Party Band
MHB performed at our private party and everything worked out perfectly. They were very easy to communicate with throughout the process and their experience was a major asset to the overall planning. They showed up a few days before to go over set up, sound, music, etc. When they arrived the day of, everything was well organized from the timing to the actual performance. They played for a little over two hours and there was not a single complaint! We hope to get these guys to perform again for us and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a great night of live music.

Thanks for the great feedback. MHB had a great time and we look forward to the future gigs we spoke about this summer! Cheers. MHB
We had MHB play our Stomp Festival in October 2013. They were fantastic, the crowd (and most importantly the staff!) loved them. We will be having them back next year.
Rock Band
We had Matt to our home party as a solo act and he blew the crowd away with his amazing performance! He took my list of preferred artists and put together a playlist that completely fit the bill and rocked the crowd!
Everyone was amazes at the vocal and sound quality, and that such a "pro" would be available! He made our event so special and wowed us beyond our expectations- & we would hire him again in a heartbeat!
One Man Band
Brunswick Crossing hired MHB to play at our community outdoor concert series this past summer. Not only is the band great, really great, but Matt is very professional, in constant contact, and willing to work outside the box! We loved them so much, we've invited them back for our Fallfest in September!
Classic Rock Band
If you want a band with a lot of energy, then this is the band! They played very well in line together. The saxophone player was on point as well as the keyboard player. All in all the band was great. The customers really enjoyed listening to them and are looking forward to having them come back out and play!

This wasn't the first time, nor will it be the last, that I've experienced MHB live. The ability of frontman Matt baron to feed the audience what they need is remarkable, and his improvisational skills and songwriting are top notch. Being a long time working musician myself, I have not only a more precise ear for criticism, but also possibly a greater appreciation for artists with Matt's gifts. I know how rare it is. You should too. Hire this man, you will be delighted.
They played covers and original music as well. You can tell they are not amateurs as they knew what they were doing, no one was out of sync, and the sound was perfect. In general, a very professional and entertaining band.
I saw MHB quite a handful of times over the span of a few years in Chicago and the performances were always top-notch. He always has a great mix of original music and nicely interpreted covers to keep the crowd engaged. His backing bands, made up of rotating members, were consistently of the higest caliber. When playing solo he uses technology skillfully to fill the room with a near-full-band sound. You won't be disappointed.
Matt was great. He interacted with the crowd without interrupting the festivities. And family and friends are still talking about his sound. It was the perfect mix of upbeat and more mellow bluesy sounds for a summer afternoon outdoors event.
