Bonnie Riley

As a Full time professional musician Bonnie accredits her major influences being Fiddlers- Jana Jae, Johnny Gimble and Ricky Turpin among others... She began playing at age 11 learning old-time fiddle tunes and would travel with her Dad P.T. to fiddling competitions around the country. She won first prize in the South Texas International fiddling championship in 2003, winning a beautiful handcrafted fiddle. Also, she has won the Oklahoma adult state championship, won 5th in the 2014 Denver state championships and placed highly in many other contests including the Texas state championship and the Grand Nationals.
The first major step in Bonnie's career was in performing with such TX singer/songwriting artists as- Jason Allen, Pauline Reese, Jamie Richards. In February 2007 She was proud to be included as a full time member of the Penny Gilley Band whose live music theater show could be seen daily in Branson, Mo. The Penny Gilley Show has been broadcasted worldwide internationally on satellite and cable T.V. for the past 7 years through the RFD-TV Network.
Living and working in Branson seasonally Bonnie preformed her fiddle, sang backup harmonies and Clog danced in shows for Dalena Ditto, Joey Riley and Penny Gilley. Having the privilege to play her fiddle backing up Artist such as Mickey Gilley, Leona Williams, Moe Bandy, Leroy Van Dyke, Buck Trent and Dotsy. She feels truly thankful for every opportunity and hopes to continue a long career in the music industry!

Bonnie has preformed since Oct. 2012 with a Celtic Rock group from Houston,Tx called "BLAGGARDS" and has recently just returned from the 2nd tour to Ireland. As of Dec. 2013 she has moved on from the group to continue a career in music as a freelance artist to pursue other genres and teach private music lessons!

For the past 7 yrs I've played fiddle for Penny Gilley on her Country music show! It is recorded live at the Grapevine Opryhouse in Grapevine,Tx and airs on the RFD-TV network Weekly (Dish Network CH 231 and Direct T-V CH 345 and 600 Cable company's)! Airs- Tuesdays at 3:30 PM (Central), Repeats Mon. & Wends at 1:30 AM- Friday nights 10P.M.
