Gloria and the band did an AMAZING JOB playing bossa nova & samba music for my Brazilian themed birthday party. They played many bossa nova hits as guests arrived and then more dance music later into the night. We had dancers too and the band also added a musical touch to the dancers' performance. Gloria really did a great job getting everything organized. I would highly recommend booking this band for your event. You will not be disappointed!!
We hired bossa nova & Latin jazz to play boleros for our mother’s birthday dinner. It was a perfectly intimate family event. Gloria, her husband (bassist) and their guitarist, played a beautifully curated list of boleros and bossa nova. My mom is still talking about the experience a week after the performance.

Gloria and her team were a pleasure to work with. They made life easy and were super professional from start to finish. They sounded great and added the perfect Bossa Nova vibe to our Sunday brunch - everyone loved it from my Brazilian cousins to the friends visiting from Texas :)
I scheduled them for my wedding day and they were outstanding. Their performance is great, the band was on time and are easy to get a hold of when I had questions. I highly recommend them to anyone who listens to Brazilian jazz or even just jazz music in general.

Seeing perform live to "Along for the Ride" band is always exquisite, a great learning experience, and fun. Their music is a mosaic of Latin-American rhythms and they have a big variety of songs from famous composers that go from Brasil to Mexico. On top of that, the band sings in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, making it fun for audiences to sing along. All musicians are great performers, very talented, and have had the experience to play in other bands. Gloria Arjona, the main vocalist, is a history professor, who enjoys sharing some anecdotes and historic facts of each song/composer, making it easier for listeners to understand the historic context behind each genre or songs. From the moment the band starts playing danceable bossa nova, bolero or jazz songs, the audience usually begins to dance all way through the night. I highly recommend this band, not because I have heard them play many times before, but because this one of the few local bands in Southern California that is always worth listening to, and yes, hop-on on the bus of Latin-jazz rhythms for a enjoyable ride!
