Brass Queens

We are organized, timely, and we do everything we can to execute your vision exactly. We believe being a band led by women helps get things done in a timely manner and always professionally.

Our shows are high energy and engaging. We have a big sound that can fill a large room or be heard from several blocks away. We can also tone it down and provide a more subdue ambiance for a setting such as a lounge or background to an event.

We are not just a band, we are performers. We guarantee to add that extra special thing on top of your already special event.

Brass Queens has been a female-led brass band since its formation in 2019, and prioritizes booking an all-female horn section in a scene that is dominated by male musicians and bandleaders. Our signature mottos are “Ladies kick brass” and “Join the Queendom” because we want to remind ourselves of the power women hold when they band together to wade into a male-dominated space together and the inclusivity that bravery forges.

Brass Queens released their debut EP "Royal Street" in February 2021, which is available for streaming on all platforms. Brass Queens has made live appearances on radio stations such as WWOZ and WRHU. Brass Queens has played all over the country including New Orleans and Colorado and internationally to Victoria, B.C. for an event produced by La Mer. Other notable clients include the 2021 Met Gala, Chanel, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co., Perrier, Facebook, Instagram, Mattel, and New Balance. Brass Queens has also made multiple appearances at Exit Zero Jazz Festival and Governor's Ball Music Festival.

As a brass band we can perform almost anywhere. We don't need any amplification, but we are also experienced doing stage shows with full PA and mic set ups. We have performed in moving cars, on boats, on floating platforms--you name it!
