My husband was so surprised to see a jazz trio at his party. He thought they were wonderful. Everyone did. I would hire them again in a minute. They were very friendly and professional, and gladly accepted and performed requests. Another feature that I appreciated was the correspondence between Mr. Bolten and myself, up to the day of. I have been listening to Dan for around 35 years. He played at my wedding reception and I listened to his various bands and formats through the years. I recommend him above all others.

I can perform in a few different settings.
Acapella - Saxophone alone... Be it Soprano, Alto, Tenor or even Baritone Sax, this is fine for a couple songs or up to a half hour if what you want is a very intimate setting. This is nice for wedding ceremonies, celebrations of life, cocktail parties, surprise birthday, anniversary or just a lovely surprise for that someone special.
Solo with backing tracks, you name it, I got it and if I don't, I'll get it. I will play your favorite songs and my sound will blend perfectly with my wireless Beringer or Bose Tower Sound Systems.
As a jazz duo, trio or quartet. That's when the "The Pauze Band" shows up or I can bring a variety of other fine musicians to fit the bill.
What you can expect is punctuality, professionalism, great sound (I use Bose Personal Amplification System for all sound reinforcement,) and a good time. I play to the audience. It's ALL about the audience and appropriately playing the room, whether the music needs to be light background, easy listening or danceable.
My musical experience includes touring in the Temptations' horn section, playing in the horn section for Chuck Negron of 3 Dog Night and performing in West Coast bands opening up for Pancho Sanchez, Michael Franks, Keiko Matsui, Stories, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Rod Piazza, Marcia Ball, Lou Gramm of Foreigner and Charlie Musselwhite to name a few, as well as playing in numerous club, show & dance bands on both the East & West Coasts. I've been playing sax for years on both coasts. I played with several local upstate N.Y. bands in the late 70's
I moved to So. Calif. in 1980 and recently moved back to upstate NY to be with family. Currently I play on a great worship team and hire out as a soloist, with or without quality backing tracks and a Bose or Beringer Sound system. I also regularly perform in the "Blue Velvet Big Band", "5th Gear Overdrive" a Classic Rock Band and my jazz/pop trio "The Pauze Band." I'm comfortable with all styles of music.
I have full Bose PA system and a wireless Behringer PA system that are perfect for ANY venue and event.
I have full stage lighting and dance floor effect lighting if desired. My lighting was used for an 8-piece dance band, so it will easily meet any need. All lights are l.e.d. so they stay cool, safe and energy efficient.
