I am a flutist, vocalist, percussionist, composer, arranger, producer and bandleader of Jazz, Latin Jazz and Salsa. A have various groups. Carlos Jimenez Jazz Quartet, Carlos Jimenez Mambo Vibes, Carlos Jimenez Mambo Dulcet and Carlos Jimenez Mambo Orchestra.
Carlos and his group were absolutely perfect for our occasion. They are wonderful musicians, punctual, courteous, professional and a lot of fun. The group of 4 had a wide variety of musical talents (vocals, percussion, flute, bass, piano, etc) and the music was fun and lively. They listened to our requests and played music that our guests really wanted to hear and made it a very special experience for us. We will be booking them again for sure and many of my friends asked how to get in touch with them during the event, so a lot of proof that everyone enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend!!
Response from Carlos Jimenez:
Thank you so much, Mellisa. Everything was amazing. Blessings to you and the family.

Carlos Jimenez is an extraordinary flute player and vocalist, as well as composer and bandleader of Jazz, Latin Jazz and Salsa.
Born in New York, his family moved to Puerto Rico when he was six years old. It was there that his musical training began. From a young age, Carlos had an aptitude for percussion and played timbales, bongos and congas. His first lyrical instrument was trumpet, which he studied under Professor Pablo Leon at Francisco Zayas Santana High School. Carlos soon changed his instrument to flute, feeling inspired listening to the music of Mongo Santamaria and how he utilized the flute in his arrangements.
Carlos returned to New York to pursue his dream of becoming a jazz flutist. He began studying classical flute at the Music Conservatory of Westchester, New York before expanding his repertoire to include jazz, studying privately with master musicians. A few years later, he studied Jazz harmony and voicing with master pianist, Michael Longo.
To date, Carlos has recorded nine albums of his own compositions and arrangements.
We provide sound for you. If the capacity is over 100 people then we might have to communicate further regarding that.

A long list of great songs. ;)
My family (father, grandfather, brother, and cousin) got me into playing music first. Meeting Tito Puente with my father at City Island was amazing and inspiring. We sat down on a table with him and he ordered appetizers for us. He then invited us to his show at SUNY Purchase College. I followed up and was invited to go back stage to spend time with him and all of his great musicians. Listening to that band and all of his musicians perform so tremendously made me serious about pursuing my music dreams.
