After taking part in one of Mr. Rodriguez's Comedy Writing Classes, you can tell immediately that not only is he a funny guy, he truly loves his work. Carlos was a gardener and a carpenter (did I just say that? Yes I did) and what I mean by that is, he was open to everyone's approach to writing and presenting their own ideas, while gently demonstrating what works for him, planting ideas that lead to success. At the same time, he offered his frank opinion and told everyone not to be afraid to hurt feelings, but to always be true to your fellow comics, which would ultimately build them up and foster positive relationships among peers. As an instructor he was inclusive, positive, and encouraged collaboration. As a comedian, he's a real pro. Carlos Rodriguez is a comic to emulate.

Now Carlos Rodriguez is the comedian to hire. Period. He was so attentive to the crowd, really paid attention to who he was performing to. Seriously funny jokes with a fast paced delivery. Every one at the party raved about him after the show and a large group of us plan to see him again later this month.
