Charles is an enthusiastic and experienced performer and teacher in the St. Louis area. A native of St. Charles, Missouri, Charles received his Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Michael Sachs of the Cleveland Orchestra. Before CIM, Charles earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Truman State University, where he studied with Dr. Gregory Jones. Charles has been a winner of the International Trumpet Guild Conference Scholarship Competition and Truman State’s concerto competition. Charles has been a performer at the Round Top Festival Institute, the Aspen Music Festival, and Festival Napa Valley.

Charles Miller is an experienced performer as well as an enthusiastic teacher. A native of St. Charles, Missouri, Charles is a trumpet player currently attending the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Michael Sachs, principal trumpet of the Cleveland Orchestra. Before moving to Cleveland, Charles earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Truman State University, where he studied with Dr. Gregory Jones. Charles has won the International Trumpet Guild Conference Scholarship Competition and Truman State's concerto competition, as well as being placed principal chair in the Missouri All-Collegiate Band and the Missouri All-Collegiate Orchestra. In the Fall of 2012, Charles was honored by being selected to be a featured soloist with Truman’s Wind Symphony I on their tour to Chicago. Mr. Miller has also participated in master classes with trumpet greats such as Paul Merkelo, John Hagstrom, Leonard Candelaria, Brian Rood, Barbara Butler, and Charles Geyer. In the summers of 2013 and 2014, Charles was a member of the Texas Festival Orchestra at the Round Top Festival Institute. Mr. Miller has also had additional studies with Barbara Butler, Thomas Rolfs, Thomas Booth, Raymond Riccomini, Marie Speziale, and Michael Miller.
